  1. Review titled Utterly pathetic

Rated 1 star out of 5

My mum brought Rimmel foundation from here for me and when she showed it to me I realised she had brought me the wrong skin colour. The foundation was not opened at all with the plastic seal still in tact. I went to the pharmacy with the receipt and just wanted to change the foundation for a different colour. The person behind the counter would not let me change the foundation. I find this absolutely pathetic, the foundation was still sealed and had not been opened. It was so pathetic. I should be able to just change a foundation when it hasn’t been opened. I have found this extremely irritating, and think it is just rude. To not be able to exchange some foundation is absolutely ridiculous.

  2. Review titled Good, Friendly, Efficient practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Went this morning to collect medicines for myself. Quite quiet, no waiting, promptly given my correct medicines by a smiling pleasant assistant. Took the opportunity to ask for my wife’s medicines. Did not expect these to be ready as I had put the prescription request in to the Doctor yesterday morning. But these too were ready, packaged and given me in a very pleasant, efficient & pleasant manner I have noted the well out-of-dare earlier negative comments and do agree that when the current company took over there were lots of issues as described above. These have now largely, (not totally) been resolved. I do hope this chemists continue in Woburn Sands Probably worth remembering the population increase of Woburn Sands has increased significantly in recent times

  3. Review titled Long Long Wait

Rated 1 star out of 5

The Pharmacy are not keeping up to date dispensing the Scripts which are sent to them by the doctor's surgery. This is getting worse as the available staff have to stop processing and deal with what become urgent requests. A Script sent by doctors on 13th Sept was not downloaded till 16th September and was not processed on 20th. I have to wait on 20th for it to be dispensed.

  4. Review titled It's no good.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I do not think this chemist could be worse. The last owner/manager was fantastic, under this owner/manager it's the worst chemist I have ever been into. Disorganised, incompetent, rude, stockouts, wrong medicines given out, wait for ages for a request sent in plenty of time. So now I have my medicines sent free, by post, by another firm.

  5. Review titled Chaotic Dispensing

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have a regular repeat prescription which I order 7 days in advance electronically from Asplands Medical Centre. I arrived today to pick up my prescription and was told it had to be checked on the computer and had to wait 10-15 minutes. I asked why it had to be checked and was told we need to check if we have the medication and that you are due the tablets. Now Asplands Medical Centre had already confirmed that my prescription was due and forwarded it electronically to the Pharmacy for dispensing. Surely after 7 days the prescription should be sitting on the shelf ready for me to collect.

  6. Review titled Chaotic with poor covid-safety

Rated 1 star out of 5

Something has gone wrong at this pharmacy. Perhaps the regular staff have covid? The shelves are half empty, and boxes of new supplies are lying about. The new staff were clearly not coping, and their systems of preparing and storing repeat prescriptions were dysfunctional. Today I had to wait 40 minutes for a single box of my regular pills, ordered two weeks before, having already queued earlier in the week to be asked to come back another day. Many patients had longer waits. The small shop became crowded, with no ventilation, and despite the sign on the door, several customers were unmasked, including a coughing child and his mum. There were several frail and elderly customers obliged to wait in this unhealthy pharmacy for their medication.

  7. Review titled Not really fit for purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

I wished to attend just to pick up my medication against a GP surgery prescription which had been submitted 1 week earlier. I made two approaches and on both occasions (mid morning and late afternoon) found there was upwards of 10 people waiting so I decided to try later. The next morning I tried again and again there were many people waiting but I bit the bullet as my medication was running out. A member of staff told me they would just quickly check if the medicines were ready. After about 20 minutes of waiting the member of staff had forgotten about me and I had forgotten which member of staff had served me so I asked another if anything was happening. After a few minutes this member of staff located the prescription and said she would start preparing it now. This rather defeats the object of pre ordering for pick up one week in advance. I may as well have walked in with a new paper prescription from my GP. On talking with others waiting for their medicines I found that many were in a similar situation - waiting for sometimes up to an hour for medications that had been pre-ordered 7 days previously. Clearly pre-ordered medicines should be available for pick up with no big queues and little waiting time. This had almost always been the case under the previous management of the pharmacy. I do sympathise with the hard working and very patient staff but someone really needs to get the system sorted.

  8. Review titled Very disorganised

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John - Posted on 26 May 2022

I have been a customer here since 2008. It was never the best organised pharmacy in the area but we managed. The past few months though have been awful. It doesn’t seem to matter how long you wait to go in and pick up a prescription, they don’t start fulfilling it until you go in. Today they couldn’t find my prescription even though it had been sent up earlier. I had to go back to my GP and get a copy and then when I got back to the pharmacy they’d found it. The staff are very nice but when you rely on medication as I do, what you really need is efficiency.
