Review titled Prescription for a child

I had really bad experience today in this pharmacy. I went to collect a medicine for my child prescribed by a GP. They didn't have enough in stock. I was offered a different antibiotic or the same one but mixed with more water as they didn't have the amount needed for the full course. I asked for the prescription to be given to me so I can check in another pharmacy. I was given a paper with a bar code that should be scanned by the other pharmacy when collecting the antibiotic. I was also wished best of luck because apparently this antibiotic is hard to find. I found it in another pharmacy but when they scanned the barcode it didn't work so they were not able to give the antibiotic. They said that the prescription is locked. I had to call 111 and waste their staff time, than with another GP for a new prescription, and waste their time. They were very kind and helpful but I had to travel 1 hrs to collect the new prescription, than go back to the pharmacy that has the antibiotic. Luckily it is open late hours. I am very disappointed from the customer service I received today in Lindsay pharmacy. It is not moral to lock a prescription and don't give the opportunity to your loyal customer to collect it from a different pharmacy especially when it is for a child. It is a waste of time, energy and NHS resources.
