The service from this pharmacy is dismal. Four trips made over the past four days, several hours taken out of my working day, just trying to collect two prescriptions and still I don’t have them. Firstly I was sent up the road to their other branch. Then they didn’t have the items in stock. Return two working days later only for them to tell me to come back in a hour because the pharmacist had gone on a break, and then when I did return later on the same day, waited in a queue for half an hour only to be given something I did not order, but they did not have the two items I had ordered. They claimed they had not received one of the prescriptions despite my GP and the NHS app indicating it was sent to them 6 days earlier. The shop is completely disorganised. Pharmacist said they have no internet connection, so how they can receive electronic prescriptions is beyond me. Huge queues of angry customers fill the waiting area and line up outside, and there is an issue with every single person’s prescription. Elderly people, people in poor health, parents of small children needing prescriptions and getting nowhere. I do not understand how they are permitted to open when they are not able to provide even the most basic service. They need to be closed down until they are properly set up with systems, processes and staff who can run the place.

This pharmacy is absolutely awful. When you first walk in, the place is an absolute mess. The visual merchandising doesn’t make any sense and products are piled on shelves in all sorts of random ways. You’ll find items for babies and vitamins on the same shelf. I’m not usually bothered about this sort of thing, but because the service is so terrible, when you’re stood in a queue seeing how inefficient the operations are, it’s infuriating. I went in today and a man came in asking for his insulin. He got (understandably) frustrated and began to raise his voice, as he had been told the week before that he’d be able to collect it the following week. He was told that they “couldn’t find it” but their organisation system is ridiculous - just boxes piled on top of each other where it would be difficult to find anything. You can tell the staff have no clue as there’s no one leading the operations properly. When I got my medication, they didn’t even have it in stock. The bottle for my medication had the seal broken. Who knows where they found it lying around in there! Whenever I’m in there, customers are frustrated and unimpressed. The staff are rude and do not care. Avoid at all costs.

Staff are not trained and very rude. One member of staff asked me to shout out the contents of my prescription across a crowded shop, and rolled his eyes when I asked him to look at the screen in front of him for the details (the medication was for a sensitive issue, and he already had my name, DOB and other details). Another member of staff argued with me when I pointed out that the medication they had given me was missing two-thirds of its contents. They argued that I was wrong, and refused when I asked them to re-check the script, which showed the amount required. I had to persist and they then reluctantly admitted they'd got the amount wrong - but didn't apologise. Another time, I called ahead to check the prescription was in, but when I arrived it transpired they didn't have enough of the medication in stock to fulfill the order. On another occasion, a member of staff was extremely rude on the phone, because I had difficulty hearing due to the phone being answered in a crowded, noisy shop (all I could hear were people being shouted at across the shop floor!). Quite often prescriptions are wrong, or incomplete, and the shop itself is utter chaos - people everywhere, staff shouting at people, apparently no proper systems in place. If staff were helpful and kind you could put up with it, but they're rude, and seem to be unaware that people picking up prescriptions may be vulnerable, unwell and reliant on them to look at scripts properly and dispense the correct medications in a timely and sensitive manner. Needless to say, we have changed our nominated pharmacy and I really would encourage others to do the same - it doesn't feel safe at all.

Everest Pharmacy have been extremely efficient in delivering my medication during my recent illness. They have been polite and helpful on the phone and my personal contact with the delivery driver has cheered me up. He is always friendly and has time for a little chat.

Delivery man bringing prescriptions is usually polite and helpful. If I am out or unable or too unwell to come to the door, he puts items through my letterbox - as per our pre-existing arrangement.
