I urgently needed medication Southend hospital prescribed late Saturday night for my partner. After googling chemists I came across this pharmacy. To be honest reviews on opening hours wasn’t that great so I called before going. I collected the prescription at 8:30am Sunday morning, fabulous service so friendly and helpful. On leaving, I noticed a sign to say opening hours may change if end of life medication needs to be delivered. What a great chemist. All I would recommend from reading these less favourable reviews, is to call them up first before driving there. Especially, if the time you are going is when most other chemists are shut. Thank you

I went to out of hours with my son, was sent a prescription here because it was open for another 40 mins and I needed to start the medication tonight. Got there within 5 mins to find it was shut! They need to change the opening times as out of hours are sending prescriptions here thinking it’s open and it’s not. I could have got the prescription elsewhere tonight but instead I’m not worrying and hoping my son doesn’t get worse overnight.

Hi, I am so sorry this happened to you and I hope your son is better, we have now put a sign outside and contacted local carers that since covid we support local care homes due to the increased pressures they are currently facing with deliveries of END OF LIFE medication or other urgent medication needs, which unfortunately seemed to be during the time you attended the pharmacy.

After a particularly bad experience with Boots in Hamlet Court Road the help I got here was very welcome, saved my holiday that's for sure. Many thanks. I will change my prescription delivery choice to this Pharmacy immediately. Thank you.

Attended after having swollen ankle and red hot patch on leg. The Pharmacists immediately knew it was infected. He suggested options, call 111 as would need antibiotics or wait to see GP Monday or the prescribing Pharmacists working the next day at that Pharmacy, which I opted to do. The next morning I was given good advice and antibiotics and antibiotic cream, very helpful and professional Pharmacists at Derix, who thought it was a spider bite and I will be recommending them to family and friends. Thank you so much Derix Pharmacy for your prompt help when I really needed it

I had to use this pharmacy in an emergency earlier today when I ran completely out of my important medication. Well what a wonderful, helpful and friendly place this is. I wish it was my local one. The lovely pharmacist sorted out my medication with efficiency and professionalism. I would certainly recommend.

After being told by the doctors to get emergency antibiotics for my son. They told my wife and I to pick up from derix pharmacy as it was open until 11pm. Arrived at 10.30 and it was closed. Complete waste of time and we are not the only poor review for the same reason. If you are not going to stay open to the advertised time, amend your opening hours. Really poor service.

Hi, so sorry for the inconvenience caused hopefully your son is better and I understand the frustration we have since notified carers to call ahead for any urgent medications late at night as we have supported local care homes struggling due to short staffing to pick up end of life medication and other urgent care, so temporarily in the evenings whilst the pharmacist gives a visit to the Carehome we are shut, again sorry for the inconvenience.
