  1. Review titled Inadequate info on covid vaccination

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 November 2023

No info is available either via the NHS website or on the pharmacy website as to whether Cleggs is doing vaccinations. They don't answer the phone either. Happened to walk past today and noticed they were doing walk-ins. How are we supposed to know? Gave an excuse about previous complaints that booked jabs were queuing with walk-ins but surely it's easy to separate the queues?

  2. Review titled Vaccination a shambles

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had made an appointment on-line, which was confirmed for 14:40. I arrived at 14:30 to find a queue extending some distance, so I went to the head of the queue and found someone in Hi-vis and pointed out that I had made an appointment. I was told to go to the back of the queue. It appears that appointments are meaningless and anyone who can't be bothered to make one has tha same priority as someone who has. Needless to say, I left without being vaccinated.

  3. Review titled Just popped in

We needed a booster Covid injection. We may have been lucky as we were shown into the room imediately. The nurse was curteus and friendly and proceeded to inject us with the doses. I right this because I saw a negative review and want to say that it was as pleasent as it could have been.

  4. Review titled Poorly organised COVID vaccination service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

    by Julie H - Posted on 05 May 2023

Considering the people currently advised to get the vaccine are either elderly or highly at risk and this is the only place doing to the service for miles, the pharmacy is poorly organised. No one met us on arrival, so we joined the end of the queue. Another queue member said there was a form to fill in and passed us back a clip board. Otherwise we would not have known this was a requirement. There was only 4 seats for people to sit and wait, again thinking about the criteria for the vaccine push, this was very inadequate which left people struggling to stand and wait for a long. After waiting for 15 minutes and no one moving forward on to the vaccination area, from the queue. Someone queried whether there was an issue, only to be told by the counter person aggressively told us “it was the queues fault we hadn’t moved as when someone comes out we should go in automatically”. But no one from the pharmacy had bothered to communicate anything to us. When someone in the queue said that was ridiculous, the counter person turned on her, and quite aggressively/ rudely told her to go if she didn’t like it. Obviously as they are the only pharmacy NHS are offering in South Oxfordshire area, for covid vaccines, the OAP had no choice but the wait after the very public dressing down.

  5. Review titled Friendly efficient

Friendly greeting upon entering, shown to a chair, filled in form, went into cubicle, came out vaccinated. Quite the friendliest most efficient yet.

  6. Review titled Terrible organisation

Rated 1 star out of 5

by MRS PATRICIA V JACKSON - Posted on 21 April 2023

Having taken the trouble to book a Covid appointment for 9.20 am on 21/04/23 and received two reminders to attend and not be late, you can imagine my surprise when I arrived at 9.15am to be told to get at the end of the queue of 30-40 people by the steward. I explained I had a 9.20am appointment and was told so have all the other people. The fact that the appointments are listed in 10 min. slots, I questioned how all these people could be seen in 10min. only to be told thats' the way it is. I feel sure most of them were drop ins, so what is the point of making an appointment.

  7. Review titled Don't bother for covid vaccination

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Lorna - Posted on 14 April 2023

I had a booked appointment for my son. we turned up and the place was closed. Lots of other people had also booked and were stood outside looking very annoyed and confused. Tried the walk in today and was told that there was no one there and to go on the NHS website or phone 119. I told them that I had and that was why I was there (and had been there previously). They did understand that this was a problem.

  8. Review titled Not really an appointment system - just a walk in venue

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 April 2023

Made an appointment for a Covid19 booster for my 91 year old mother. Turned up on time and was faced with a 25 person queue (only one person doing the vaccinations). Left and re-booked for a weekday. Same problem with that. I checked and was told that they don't see you based on your appointment time, you just join the queue on arrival. Hence people turning up early for a later appointment get seen before those arriving on time for an earlier appointment. This means most people end up queuing for an excessive amount of time and the appointment system is pretty much redundant unless you get lucky and hit a quiet time (the same as with a walk-in centre basically). I know of one person who did get a vaccination but she had to wait for an hour. Not good when the majority of those eligible for the vaccine are over 75s.

  9. Review titled Badly organised; ignored vaccination appointments.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Vaccination appointment booker - Posted on 01 January 2023

I booked a Covid booster appointment but I needn't have bothered. There was no indication of where to report for an appointment, and I eventually discovered that some of the people sitting or standing away from the counter were waiting for vaccinations rather than prescriptions. With an appointment for 9.50 I sat down at 9.45 next to a man who said he was down for 10.15, but he was invited in first, apparently just because he was nearer and was assumed to the head of a queue I did not know existed. Poor organisation, but the vaccinator was friendly and efficient when I got in.

Popped in on a walk in basis. Had one person in front of me. Was vaccinated and out in about 10 minutes. Excellent service and staff.
