Booked online, turned up to find the pharmacist wasn't there, rebooked for another time, phoned up to make sure they were going to be available, the staff said they couldn't guarantee the pharmacist would be there... I gave up in the end..! I can't keep taking time off work! get it sorted ASDA please.

  2. Review titled Returns not accepted

Asda Horwich, Bolton. I purchased my mum eye drops for £17 which were recommended by a helpful pharmacist. Unfortunately my mum had tried the same ingredients in another eye drop but under a different brand and they didn’t work for her. When I tried to return the following day they refused point blank to take them back as they would have to ‘throw them away’. The box had not been opened and therefore the seal was intact. I’m £17 out of pocket and when I look at other chemists, for example Tesco, they do take them back! I wasn’t rude but they knew I was disgruntled and I will stick to my word and go elsewhere in future which is a shame as the first pharmacist was lovely. Just crazy internal politics!

  3. Review titled Dreadfully sloe

When I arrived there were 3 queuing and six waiting. The counter isn’t manned and when some one comes out they speak to the head of the queue. Everywhere else there is a permanent person on the counter, who pass requests through to others to fulfil prescriptions. I am going to look for an alternative pharmacy

  6. Review titled Dreadful service

Took 1.5 hours to get a prescription filled. 1 person serving 2 + pharmacist in the back Had to queue for 25 minutes before I could hand in script, told it would be 15 mins. Did some shopping went back to collect & another excessive wait to pick it up. Whilst waiting to collect assistant went round the back & came back out chewing food then proceeded to take a long drink out of a bottle of coke! This is not good practice or service

  7. Review titled Dreadful experience that left me speechless

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had an appointment for flu jab and blood pressure test. I arrived 5 minutes early and queued for 10 mins. On reaching the front of the queue I was greeted with these exact words "will this take long?" which left me struggling for an answer. Then "what is it that you want?" to which I said I was here for my flu jab. She then said all appointments were cancelled in a way that implied I should have known this already, like it should have been completely obvious to me (which it wasn't) and said they had been unable to contact me, this despite not even knowing my name at this point, something she never asked. She said she had been unable to contact me, despite my having provided my email address and mobile number during the booking process. So basically I was completely blown out with no explanation, no apology and given incredible rude treatment that left me speechless. I honestly can't recall ever having been treated in such a way, right from the start, before I even spoke.

  8. Review titled Atrocious

Rated 1 star out of 5

Week after doctor sent prescription went to collect and not ready. A further 15 minute delay and none in so ordering some, told ready tomorrow. Left it 3 days to find no one knew where it was other than on a shelf, 20 minutes of looking then took my number to phone if they ever find it. Won't hold my breath. Avoid at all costs as simpliest tasks seem improbably difficult for all concerned.

  9. Review titled Shocking service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Having electronically ordered my repeat prescription I called to collect from Asda pharmacy to be told that my strong painkillers were on order and to come back tomorrow. I advised the pharmacist it would be Wednesday before I could get back there but it turned out that I couldn't get there until Saturday. When I went to collect I was then advised that they didn't have them and to come back on Monday. As I had run out and was now in excruciating pain I told the dispenser I had no tablets left, and that they were supposed to be in 4 days ago. She went into the back and what a surprise, she found them - they hadn't been put in the right place. At 5.15 I was told it would 15-20 minutes so I went and did my shopping. When I came back to the pharmacy it was closed!! The sign said they were closed from 5.30 - 6.00, so why did they tell me to come back between 5.30 and 5.35? I use the Asda pharmacy for convenience but I will be looking for another pharmacy as this one has gradually been getting worse over the last 6-12 months and I can't deal with constantly having to go back because they don't have medication in stock, and don't let regular customers know. And how frightening is it that a pharmacy can misplace orders of prescription-only high strength Painkillers??

  10. Review titled Excellent experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by sylvia davis - Posted on 18 October 2023

My husband and I had our flu vaccinations at Asda in Kettering and we were so impressed with everything. The pharmacist who administered the vaccine was welcoming, friendly, and nothing was rushed. We can both honestly say that we didn't feel the needle at all and this really surprised us. It was probably our best experience of a vaccination ever and we are in our 70s so have been injected many times!
