Rang the dispensary today and asked why my tablets had been issued today and ready to collect but the pharmacy still did not have it. A lovely lady on dispensary said that they sent over the issue early hours today and all they had to do was refresh their site they use to see my script and did not understand why they did not have them ready for me. It’s become very rare to have a good and easy experience when receiving my medication at this pharmacy due to the lack of care and professionalism that the staff hold. They either do not have my medication in or the script has not been sent over - which is never the case. The staff behind the counter are unprofessional in front of customers by ignoring customers for a certain amount of time whilst they continue their conversation about things outside of their work. Trying to contact the pharmacy through telephone is ridiculous also as every single time it automatically hangs the line up and you have to continue ringing until it goes through and even then you’re waiting ages to speak to somebody! Staff are abrupt when they’re talking with you and speak to you like you’ve not got a clue in the world. Some staff members are also seen to wear hoodies and leggings and not proper uniform. Unfortunately it will be the last time I use this pharmacy due to all of the above and more! Which is a shame because they’re letting the doctor surgery down and giving them a bad rep as they’re semi-connected!!! Shame!

Went in this evening to get my prescription, it took a good 5/10 mins for a lady to come out, they were playing with a puppy in the back and could hear them all talking about how the puppy had gone to wee on her mothers foot! I asked the lady who i think was in charge are pets allowed in here and was told "she doesnt know the rules about that"!! There was already someone waiting who was conplaining to me that they had been waiting ages as their tablets were "missing again" I was told one wasn't ready,after a mix up, the lady rolled her eyes at me when I questioned it, I was also told to calm down I was fine until the women who served me was very short tempered then rolled her eyes and did a stupid laugh smirk as if I was causing trouble but i didnt understand what she meant, it seemed it was all to hardwork for her, I had only some of my prescription again , I said they should have enough tablets in to cover everyone as the next chap they also didn't have his tablets either!! Everytime I go in there , there's always a queue in which people are complaining how long they been waiting or some tablets are missing. All whilst you hear them talking about their lives instead of doing their job. Everybody says the same. The final straw for me was hearing they had a puppy round the back laughing and joking about it whilst customers were waiting. Hardly a very good service.

Review titled Chaotic storage of Repeat Prescriptions

Three times now we have had items missing from repeat prescriptions ordered online. On occasion old orders are offered which had been ordered a month or even earlier but not provided at the time as the bag they were in was not readily found. Each time the excuse is that they have not been ordered by the Birchwood practice. We have taken the precaution now of saving copy of all online orders and these confirm the problem is with the pharmacy - not the GP practice! Go into the pharmacy, look behind the desk and view the chaos of multiple bags awaiting collection. Whilst supposedly in alphabetic order, clearly they get mixed due to there being far too many in very limited space in the drawers - an extemely inefficient storage system! As a former senior NHS manager I consider this practice needs urgent review and effective management to overcome the obvious chaotic practices concerning repeat prescriptions. Art W

I had forgotten to bring my medication on holiday. After consulting 111 this pharmacy provided me with this vital medication at very short notice. Extremely grateful for their service

I’ve been using this pharmacy regularly since 2021 for monthly medication. Items are always ready as I give the pharmacy time to prepare my prescription. The staff are always busy and are polite and advised me well when requiring extra assistance. They have just stopped processing automatic repeat prescriptions, but explained how to order through the doctors and on the app. Which is very simple. Whilst other pharmacies have struggled to stay open North Walsham pharmacy has remained open and served the community well, staying open late regularly.

Opening hours on NHS website state it’s open until 22:30. Just arrived at 20:15 after travelling 30 miles to get here and it’s closed. Brilliant.

The pharmacist today was amazing! We had a complicated and unusual issue and she helped us get our issue resolved! Very helpful, kind and knowledgeable
