  1. Review titled Pain-free procedure delivered in a caring way

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sarah Coffey - Posted on 18 March 2024

I recently visited the surgery for a smear test and the nurse was so calm, reassuring and attentive that it made the experience wholly positive. One of the things I appreciated most, was once I was lying down she told me that "from now on you are in charge" it gave me full control and meant I wasn't afraid to say if I experienced any pain. Thankfully, due to her calm manner and expertise, it was totally pain-free.

  2. Review titled contact details

As a health care professional, it is almost impossible to get in touch. I am a clinical lead nurse for a patient who is registered with you Both him and I have tried to contact you via phone. We have both been on the phone for more than hour each time. It would be much easier for you have an email address to access. This gentleman requires equipment and has been unable to contact you to request it. I have also have been unable to request anything this gentleman had complex needs and has no way of ordering or obtaining his equipment.

  3. Review titled No appointments as no doctors

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 February 2024

I tried to get an appointment with a doctor at Hillyfields medical centre last Friday, 9th February. My husband went round to the surgery at 8am as getting through on the phone is impossible. He was told there were no face to face appointments at all as they had no doctors. There was only a phone appointment with a locem doctor at another surgery who would have no knowledge of my condition, reading notes is not the same as continuity. I declined this kind of appointment and tried again today, 12th February. There were about 10 people waiting and the receptionist came out and said no point in waiting as there were no appointments as once again they had no doctors. What is going on, how can you have a surgery with no doctors at all. Why open? Patient will start going to A & E instead for simple ailments as there is nowhere else to go. This is really a terrible situation and needs sorting out as soon as possible before somebody dies due to a condition not being picked up early.

Joined the queue at no15. Two hours later was no5. Hoping to get to the front of the queue before they close. They need to resource their telephone service better.

  5. Review titled Gone down hill

Rated 2 stars out of 5

The formation of The Lewisham Care Partnership has been a death sentence for the individual GP practices in the area. Obtaining vital medication is a constant issue which was never the case before the practices were incorporated. This is a major problem for anyone with long term health conditions and disabilities and occurs almost every time prescriptions are needed. Patient consent is not obtained prior to signing patients up to commercial company schemes. Appointments are rarely face to face. Not good enough at all.

  6. Review titled Inadequate communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 November 2023

This practice provides inadequate communications to its customers. Its website has a lot of misleading gumph about how to book routine appointments but in reality those options don’t exist because when you go into the NHS app you can only select a very limited number of appointment types and the online forms facility is turned off and so the only way to communicate with the surgery is to phone them up or attend in person. Throughout the pandemic they failed to send any communications to a family member who is severely immunosuppressed beyond that which was age related (basically nothing based on clinical status). They’ve been undergoing a reorganisation, but that’s done now and so there is no excuse for the continuing failure to provide proper communication routes to its patients.

  7. Review titled Patient Access has been disabled

Rated 1 star out of 5

I need to book a follow up appointment for a blood test to check Vit D/Menopause/Osteo issues which I am currently experiencing. I have put this off for a year (I am a teacher) as I know appointments are hard to get. I tried to book via patient access, but this has been disabled by the practice itself! No phone or emails are listed on the Lewisham Care Partnership website. This is a farce! They have not been inspected since 2017 so get away with a 'good' rating.

  8. Review titled Avoid

Rated 1 star out of 5

Switching from another surgery is a nightmare and it's extremely difficult to get an appointment when you do. If you have repeat prescriptions make sure you have a stockpile to tide you over as it can take a month for them to set them up at the new practice. You get the sense that the practice is understaffed and they're trying to get you off the phone as quickly as possible. Depressing
