On 12/06 I received a call advising that they had booked me in for minor surgery on 15/06. Baring I mind that I would be off sick for 6’weeks after this, it was too short notice. I was offered another day of 29/06 and I said I would confirm with work and call back. I called to confirm and was the asked if I could come in on 22/06, I said no and was told I would get a call back after 2pm. No call received. I called again the following day and was told I am booked in for 29/06 @ 10.50. Also received a text confirmation and was told to expect a call for some pre op questions. A week later no call received, I have called this morning to advise my surgery is a week away and haven’t heard anything. I was told they will contact me after July as the surgeon will be away until then. I advise that I have a confirmation text for an appointment on 29/06 @ 10.50. I was told I would get a call back after 2pm to confirm this How do these people run this service? It is so poor and a serious Lack of communication. I am a front line worker and a lot has to be put in place whilst I am off for 6 weeks. You can’t expect to mess people around like this and change appointments without informing patients Rather have it done at a hospital where there would seem to be a bit more structure to the process Absolutely horrendous service
