  1. Review titled Hello?

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by l Tarling - Posted on 30 March 2024

My mother was admitted last night and I have been calling for well over 20 minutes to find out where she is. No-one answered the phone, no recorded message. Absolutely unacceptable service.

  2. Review titled Professional Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Upon arriving at the hospital I found the department easily. I booked in at the reception. They were busy on the phone, but I felt the person was extremely efficient and welcoming. I then was called for my ECG by again by an efficient professional member of staff who explained everything she was going to do. She was friendly and kind. Please feedback to the department, my gratitude in the service they provided and representing the NHS in a very positive light. I do work for another NHS trust, so appreciate the challenges the staff are under.

With in 1 hour 45 minutes of arriving. I had a x-ray and stitched up and gone home. Absolutely fantastic work from the NHS at Wrexham Park Hospital. I arrive there at 6 o’clock at night as I have cut open my hand and was needed stitches. I was seen to very quickly, as you can understand how many people were in A&E, the lady who stitched me up was very friendly and knows exactly what she’s doing great work thank you

I have multiple serious health conditions and the staff in A&E could not have been more thorough in my diagnosis and the after care, ensuring joined up care by multiple disciplines, has been amazing. Thank you all.

  5. Review titled Awful time

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by dawn - Posted on 16 March 2024

My mother was taken by ambulance to A&E, at first received very good treatment then after a shift change she was practically ignored by the nurse whose station was right by my mothers bed, she was humiliated by her in the most disgusting ways once I left. There was no care or kindness at all, my mother was very elderly and not one to make a fuss. If you need to go there in an emergency try to have someone stay with you all the time, some nurses just cant be bothered. A&E wasn't exceptionally busy at the time so there was no excuse!

  6. Review titled 48 hours standard wait time

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Elliot Murphy - Posted on 19 January 2024

I have the unfortunate experience to have to wait in A and E for hours with no assistance. After attending an and e and spending 16 hours moving through the wait giving 5 different blood samples as they kept ‘losing’ them and told repeat lies from doctors claiming I would be seen in the next hour. Finally at midnight a doctor arrived to tell me they had left treating me too late and now I must return the next day for whst he promises will be max an hour booked in. So after being checked in and waiting 5 hours the consultant was then unable to do anything due to it being left too long so I was shipped back to A and E. if you can’t see patients don’t book appointments you plan to cancel it’s horrible service

  7. Review titled Amazing care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Joanne Axten - Posted on 12 December 2023

All staff brilliant. Very clean, friendly staff - nurses and doctors. Was shown genuine kindness and support. One complaint was the 4 hour wait for meds in discharge lounge, but was well looked after and again the kind staff were so helpful and communicative

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Emergency dept assessment within 1 hr of accidental fall at home. Busy Friday afternoon, yet care was outstanding, caring, empathic. Exemplary treatment by medical and nursing staff. I am a retired doctor and would be proud to have been a part of such a team.

  9. Review titled Improving, but still a long way to go

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr Jeremy Telfer - Posted on 27 December 2023

I have a lot of varied experiences with this hospital and none of them are great. We only have one child because of the trauma and cruel treatment we experienced having that child. My life was saved a few years later when I got sepsis from a nail in my leg, after refusing to leave unless treatment was given. I am grateful for that. My mother begged for her life in this hospital, but it didn't work. I'm forbidden for sharing the details of that here. My father had a problem with his catheter yesterday and needed expert assistance. After his previous 12 hr experience in the waiting room without being able to pass urine he said 'I'd rather die at home than wait in Wexham A&E again!' He waited until he was in agony so we could get an ambulance, as previously advised by the hospital staff. He was fixed and back home and being able to eat and drink again in 5 hrs, thank you and bless you. Having endured it myself, the A&E waiting room is quite a hellish place. My advice is take headphones and sustenance because your wait will be long. I only have respect and admiration for the staff, who have to operate in this outdated and inefficient facility. The nurses especially are fantastic. They are mostly caring and lovely people.

Dear Mr Telfer, Thank you taking the time to share your feedback. While I am delighted that your extended family’s most recent experience with Frimley Health was positive – reading your observations about the staff who looked after your father was reassuring that our staff do successfully work together to give the best care to our patients – I was sorry to hear about some of the other experiences you (collectively) have had. All I can do is apologise on behalf of the Trust and reassure you that our teams do work hard to try to deliver the best care they can to all of our patients all of the time. Thank you again for you feedback – I will share your comments appropriately with colleagues internally. Kind regards, Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust

  10. Review titled Wonderful staff and hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 January 2024

I had to visit first A&E for an acute bout of cholecystitis and was admitted for 8 days. Although very busy on the day had the greatest of care from extremely friendly and dedicated staff in every department encountered (I stayed on Ward 2). A few weeks later I attended day surgery for gall bladder removal and again, had brilliant care. Best wishes to all involved. What a well run hospital.
