    The two nurses who looked after me were fantastic. Caring, attentive and with a calming influence. The consultant who performed the procedure was clear, caring and exactly what you need. The room and facilities were very clean, modern and tidy. A very well run operation from start to finish. Well done Tiverton Hospital

    1. The appointment letter was confusing. I had to ring up to confirm that it was just for an ultrasound and additionally where to report. 2. On arrival I was shuffled around between Reception, X ray, and finally Day Care. [My phone call above told me Outpatients.] 3. The lengthy admission process was excessively bureaucratic for the 3 to 4 minutes time for a simple scan. 4. I was advised that I shared an appointment time of 1200 with three others! 5. The nurse disappeared for lunch and we were left. 6. By 1315 and in the absence of any time for restarting I had to apologise that I could not wait any longer as I had another appointment. 7. It was a wasted trip including costing time and money. 8. I would appreciate a further appointment and hope that, as it could be, it is a quick and efficient in and out.

  3. Review titled My hernia operation

    I waited nearly a year to get this done, I finally got a date in March and was very happy to get it done but after several months and visits to my doctors surgery because of discomfort in the surgery area, I am not happy at all. I have asked my doctor to refer me back to the surgeon as I feel that there is something not right. This was a number of weeks ago and I have not heard anything back at this time from them, and am getting worried as the pain seems to be getting no better. I had a hernia done some years back on the other side and never experienced the same pain at all. What do I do now to get this sorted?

    In less than 2 hours we were seen, tests done and results received. Staff were extremely helpful. Can not fault the experience. Thank you Tiverton Urgent Treatment Centre.

    Lovely people, understanding and care. Everything explained to put you at ease. Gentle humour but not out of place. Everyone from receptionist to surgeon treating you with respect and understanding. I hope I did the same. Day patient surgery and in and out in six hours. No rushing and no waiting. I was relaxed and pain free within an hour of returning home. I was asked if I was worried about anything as I looked a little concerned but that is just me! Aged 81 in just two days and very grateful for the best Birthday present ever. NHS at its best.
