I had an urgent referral to Urology at St Luke's hospital 25th Jan 2023 and was seen by the Urology Specialist Nurse. She was very caring, professional and friendly. I felt I was in safe hands. Everything was explained in detail. I'm very thankful for her help and for the NHS.

  3. Review titled A brilliant and efficient service

    by turkeygd97 - Posted on 29 August 2022

I hope you can get my story to the organisations involved as I want to say thank you for brilliant, speedy and kind service - especially when the NHS is under such pressure. I rang my GP one morning a couple of weeks ago - Ling House in Keighley, West Yorks - about a lump on my head. My hairdresser had seen it and suggested I needed to get it checked out. Within the hour an advanced care practitioner called me back, asked some questions and gave me an appointment to go in that afternoon. She looked and said it was difficult for her to tell if it's benign and that she would refer me to the dermatology clinic at the local hospital. That afternoon I received a text from the hospital with an appointment for 8 days later - on a Saturday. I was seen promptly at the hospital that Saturday - Bradford Teaching Hospitals - St Lukes Hospital - a little before my appointment time - by a friendly doctor who told me it is benign - and that a similar lump on my leg is the same. What brilliant, efficient service from the NHS.

  4. Review titled Terrifying experience made worse

Rated 1 star out of 5

I went to this clinic today, due to finding a lump. The Dr was just utterly rude and dismissive. He took one look at my age(24) and talk down to me like I was dirt. He told me that it's not a lump it's a gland, that is swollen. I can appreciate that answer, but when I've had the swollen gland for about 5months, that needs questioning. I ask him how long do glands take for swelling to go down, he dismissed me again and said it is not a lump and then removed his gloves and walked off. I then wanted to get a second opinion and book a mammogram as I don't trust a word this Dr said. But decided to call when I wasn't angry. And now not a single person can answer the phone! Utterly disgusting, I was nervous and worried about the appointment as anyone would be and then proceeded to be treated like a little girl!
