I had a suspicious mole removed in day surgery today, and every member of the day surgery unit was brilliant. So friendly, which helped a lot with my nervousness. From the first welcome on arrival in the unit, to the surgeon and his team carrying out the procedure, they were fantastic. We chatted throughout the procedure which took my mind off it considerably! I would definitely recommend them, they couldn't have been better. The only negative thing I would say was at reception when we first arrived in the hospital - we asked where should we go and the lady quickly said the directions, we said pardon, can you repeat that? And she looked the other way back at her computer and completely blanked us. It's a shame to be so unfriendly, but she was the only one like that. We found the unit on our own anyway! It is also great to find a hospital with plenty of parking - and free too.
