  2. Review titled Not a walk in urgent care service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

The NHS website directs you to use this urgent care service instead of A&E for certain conditions. However, on arrival my grandmother was turned away to treat her wound as she did not have a pre-booked appointment. This is not clear on any of the websites and meant a wasted journey for an elderly person needing urgent treatment. Staff were helpful in arranging transport to A&E where the wound was treated instead.

  3. Review titled Pharmacy very slow and no system

    by John O'Connell - Posted on 22 April 2022

Sadly compared to the rest of St georges the pharmacy is a very poor experience. Frequently long hours of waiting, no communication between the ward (oncology in my case) so that my medication is ready and no apparent system for collecting your drugs when they are ready. It is the one department I've used at St George's that is a disaster and has been so for years now. I simply don't understand why it has to be so very poor.

  4. Review titled Extremely long waiting time

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Diana - Posted on 12 April 2022

Went for blood tests. It is a walk in service. One nurse only doing the blood tests. Waiting times set at 90min (!!!!) and within 30min only 1 patient called. Zero ability to scale up or down depending on the number of patients. I thought this hospital could do much better!
