From walking through the door in reception I was treated with total care and dedication from all staff members. Courtesy, dedication and kindness from all concerned.This is my second knee replacement at Barlborough and I would have no hesitation in recommending the hospital. Thank you to all concerned in my care.

This is my second total knee replacement and the care I have received is second to none. The staff are caring, efficient and friendly. I cannot recommend the hospital enough. Thank you everyone from nursing staff, theatre staff and the excellent physio team. The kitchen staff were amazing and the food was fantastic. Best hospital I have been in.

Well organised from start to finish. Staff so friendly & reassuring. Excellent facilities & a really personal service provided. Lots of information provided at initial assessment visit. Surgeon & Anaesthetist came up to the ward before & after surgery & also the day after, before discharge. The Physio team provided a good service whilst in hospital & also follow up appointments afterwards. I was quite apprehensive about the operation but the friendly staff all helped make the experience less worrying. Throughout, the care given was first class. I would recommend this hospital to anyone needing joint replacement surgery. The waiting time from referral to surgery was less than 3 months. The hospital is easy to get to & parking no problem.

If Carlsberg did hospitals. I recently underwent a hip operation . From the moment I entered the building to discharge was a fantastic experience. I was greeted by a nurse at the entrance to ensure COVID procedures had been followed. I was taken to the ward and made comfortable . The surgeon came to see us within an hour of arrival and decided on the order patients would go down for the operation. The recovery manager came to see us and put everyone at ease . The anaesthetist consultant came to see us and to assure us what would happen etc in the probably the best bedside manner ever. The operation was a success and no problems were incurred After a period in the recovery room I was taken back to the ward and was given some tea and toast which was very welcoming after not eating for the prev 16 hours due to operation procedure. The nurses were fantastic as were the auxiliary staff and nothing was too much The staff obviously have a fantastic team ethic and they all are made to feel they are a vital member of the team I saw the physios the next day and after passing the stairs test I was discharged The food was also very nice. My patient experience was excellent from start to finish and I highly recommend this hospital in the area of their expertise

This was my 2nd time as an inpatient at Barlborough for knee replacement surgery and in my opinion you couldn't have this surgery at a better place. It is truly outstanding. The facilities are excellent but it really is the staff that makes this hospital so superb. They are professional, kind, and friendly and that is EVERY member of the staff at whatever level. They really are a credit to their profession and I cannot thank them enough

I had a knee replacement surgery ,and I couldn't have wished for a better experience from the start as I was so nervous ,the staff in every department were kind, caring, helpful,supportive ,made my experience so much better than I could have wished for thankyou team Barlborough
