  1. Review titled Very slow, always unsure when I ask questions

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Slow at answering the calls, helping and just generally getting you an appointment. It’s like there is no communication between the manager, receptionists and clinicians. Even to organise an appointment that they have sent an sms and asked you to make, you call and they arrange a tel appointment for the nurse 2 weeks later to call you and arrange the original appointment that they requested! To order a prescription that needs a review you are given an email rather than the receptionist clicking the 1 item you need and requesting it from the GP even though they can see I regularly order online though it won’t allow me this time. To sum up the practice I’d say that one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing and I’d suggest greater communication between staff.

  2. Review titled Don't listen

Very disappointed with the new system. One doctor obviousky reviewing appointment requests for 'triage' who then doesn't bother reading history. If not your doctor, chronic illness is overlooked. My appointment is for a week after my blood was taken, so medication can be reviewed and altered accordingly. Because my blood isnt getting taken until 10th July, I cant make an appointment until after the results come back! Which could be weeks later. If the doctor asjs to see me at certain intervals, I am not sure how that can be triaged? Especially when one of my symptoms from my condition is depression.

  3. Review titled 101 phone calls

Rated 1 star out of 5

Yep! 101 calls to this surgery and no answer all I get is “sorry the person is on another call” I’m now overdue on my diabetes blood test and my meds have been cancelled with out any warning or reason!! This is possibly the worst Surgery in Darlington!!! The NHS is here to provide a service to the local community this one falls a long long long way from what is expected of the NHS!! I think a reshuffle in management and reception is required! As they clearly don’t care about its patiants……..

  4. Review titled Horrible service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

It's impossible to make an appointment or a quick call to find out anything at this surgery because the only phone number keeps me on hold for an extremely long time, an hour almost in a queue. Once I get through to someone, I can barely hear them speak. Also the surgery withholds very important medicine without telling me, I only find out this when the medicine hasn't gone to the chemist. They keep withholding the medicine until I get an appointment for a medical review! If that medication gets low, and if I don't take it for more than two days I will end up in a coma. There is lack of communication from the surgery.

  5. Review titled Poor Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Have Been trying to get an appointment since April 2022. My GP contacted me in November to arrange an appointment, but when i went to the surgery in considerable pain i was told that there was no appointments available and was told to contact the practice again, which is very depressing and painful as the telephone system is out dated for the amount of patients the practice has. So have to visit the surgery in person. I have been told on several occasions, you can only make appointments the last day of the previous month to get an appointment for the following month between 10am-12pm when they have released the Rota for the last week of that month. I feel Let down infact, Sub Human and that is how i Feel.

  6. Review titled Phone Call

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I phoned the doctors at 5.30pm after going onto the NHS app and realised they have stopped my repeat prescription. So when I first got through I was 4th in the queue by 5.45pm I was 1st in the queue, I was 1st in the queue up until 6pm when the phone line was terminated as the surgery was closed, so tomorrow going to have to go into the surgery to ask why they have cancelled my repeat prescription as they obviously don’t answer the phones well before 6pm, what ever happened to good customer service, this doctors are as much use as a chocolate fire guard and would recommend anyone who is thinking of joining it think again cos it’s the biggest mistake I ever did !!

  7. Review titled Cancelled my appointment for apparently no reason?

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Kieran pattison - Posted on 17 May 2022

Disgusting lack of regard for their patients. Took it upon themselves to cancel an appointment I waited a month for, on the very same morning, and give the justification "well we tried to call you"...? "So why did you cancel it?", to which they replied "well you've had dealings with the doctor on the online portal, so we cancelled this appointment", then to almost blame me for not ringing back my missed calls, to inevitably press redial up to 80 times as I have in the past. Pointers going forward: 1) don't take it upon yourselves to sit in your office and decide who deserves an appointment slot 2) definitely don't cancel it after someone has waited a month for it 3) don't cancel it the same morning when people are likely still asleep 4) if you absolutely MUST cancel an appointment, don't text asking them to call you back regarding "a message" - text the patient saying "your appointment has been cancelled". 5) everyone should avoid this joke of a place (doctors aside, as they're pleasant and good, and today's receptionist had the raw end of the deal communicating this message to me while the decision makers probably sat in the office behind with the blinds shut. They should have came out and faced up, but inevitably they didn't. Changing practices asap, I've had enough of it.
