    My partner and I have needed West4GPs for various serious health issues over the past few months and the service has been outstanding. The health professionals are caring and efficient and their appointments (on the phone or in person) are not rushed. It can sometimes take a while to get through to reception first thing in the morning (appointments are released at 8am each day), but the surgery has now introduced a call back system, and we always get through eventually. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

    So far in the past year with this practice I've had to get 2 antibiotics and statins from an EU country as well as use private insurance to get tests done via BUPA (the results of which the practice had and then lost). Its as if the NHS no longer exists. You cannot get an appointment for love or money. If you call at 8am they just close the phone on you. There is no online booking system. And even if you do get to a nurse (not even a GP) seing that your cholesterol is high for a long period they will just tell you to come back in 6 months (if you are still alive of course). You are left on your own to source appropriate medication. And if you get a UTI or pleumonia you have better find some antibiotics yourself as you can't even get an appointment let alone help. And are you on immunosuppressants and have Covid? Thought. No antivirals available. Just generally you are going to be left dealing with Google and ChatGPT for a diagnosis and medical advice... dangerous really.

    It's not possible to speak to anyone. If you call there is an automated message that says they are "unable to take your call at this time" then it hangs up on you. Try again multiple times, same message. If you try 10+ times you might eventually get through but by then they have no appointments left. You can't even make a telephone appointment for future, even if you are willing to wait a week or more. This practice is not providing care to its patients.

    I have tried to get my medical record accessible through the NHS app. It has been increasingly difficult to get to see a doctor at this practice. Consequently I want to have full access to my records to try to safeguard my own health. I sent a personal letter to request this access, as advised on the NHS app. I had a short reply saying It has to be done through the NHS app! I’ve been going round in circles and still cannot get my own health record! Very frustrating!

    For the past week and a half been trying to get in to see the doctor…..every time I called or emailed was turned away and when waiting to actually speak to someone kept on hold for 40min to a hour! When emailing regarding problems or asking to speak to doctor…the reception team turned away every time… When I finally get thought I’m ref to a pharmacy…speak to a pharmacist and was told she ref me back to the doctor because it sounds like I may have an ear infection…when called again turned away by reception team! Again, tried again to call and speak to someone and finally was told Doctor will call me. Doctor called me and told me I need to come for a face-to-face appointment…when I told the doctor I have been trying for over a week she said she will ask the reception to call me and book the appointment. Following day still no phone call!! I had to call them myself again on hold for 45min! Really poor attitude from the team and not getting any better
