    Morning, had a very pleasant appointment at Victoria medical centre the staff on reception was very attentive and patient and was very helpful.

    Have been attending this surgery for over 25 years. Always friendly and helpful and more importantly deal with my needs accordingly.

    Having read some recent negative reviews from 'anonymous' reviewers, I felt compelled to write. My family and I have been with this surgery for some years. They have always delivered an exceptionally high standard of care to us all. I personally suffer with some long term conditions and they have taken care to ensure I have regular check ups and am monitored going forward. I recently referred a neighbour to them as she was having trouble getting anywhere with her own GP. She switched to Victoria Medical Centre and said she could not be happier with the service she has received. To the extent that she has told a fellow neighbour to switch to VMC too. I can't help but wonder if these 'anonymous' reviews are just malicious and not real patients, as I have not encountered one person who uses VMC (and I have several friends that do) that are not happy with the service. Fantastic and friendly Medical Centre.

    I have been coming to this practice for many years I have always had great service from this practice. Staff have always been friendly. The doctors always given me time listen to my health issues. I have always managed to get an appointment on time. Over all this is and always been practice.

    Had a good experience at the doctor surgery, staff were very welcoming and very helpful. Having spoken with doctor everything seems to have been resolved, thank you

    upon reading the reviews on this site I've come to the conclusion that long term patients get a better service then patients who haven't been registered as long with them. I changed my doctors because I felt my previous one wasn't doing enough or taking my health as seriously as they should have (suffered severe back pains for more then 2 years now) and figured that a new doctors might be different, bad call on my part as I don't seem to be getting anywhere with this surgery either. i called today 16/01/23 and was on the phone waiting for 30 mins or more only to be told no appointments left as only one doctor was in and he was only a locum so not even a regular surgery doctor and was told to call back tomorrow (no doubt will have to wait another 30 mins or more to get through). I get that NHS is under pressure but I haven't been able to see a doctor face to face for more then 2 years and feel this very unacceptable. I just want to see a regular doctor (same doctor at all appointments) who will take my health issues seriously and help me to manage the pain I'm suffering.

  8. Review titled Won’t respond to calls in the morning

    I tried calling continuously to the Gp many times at 8am to 8:30 during weekdays in this month. But it says that the Victoria medical Centre is closed and will mention the opening hours of Gp even though I ring them during opening hours. I tried Dr. Iq online consultation app as well regarding my health issue but they sent message to me to call at 12pm to a particular phone number. I have called to that number at 12pm on that particular day and waited for almost 30-40min but there was no response. Patients will call to Gp if they have health problem and if Gp won’t respond it would be very difficult. Even I tried going to Gp directly in the last year because of health issue of my new born baby as they didn’t respond to calls even though I tried many times. When I went in person to Gp they will say the same thing to call around 8-8:20am in the morning but when I tried to call them they won’t pick the call.

    I phoned the surgery at 08:00 exactly (opening Time). I was number 1 in the queue and waited for 37 minutes until I got through to someone. I asked for an appointment and was told the the doctor will call me and decide if I am eligible for an appointment. I was told I would be called before 11am. I waited until 11:20am and then phoned the surgery to find out why I hadn’t been called yet. I then waited a further 1hr 18minutes to be spoken to…again…..only to find out that the doctor had phoned the wrong phone number and not the number I had phoned them from. The Doctor did then call me back….after i expressed how unsatisfactory the service was. This was still Unsuccessful as the signal was bad and I was unable to hear any tone over the phone. I then returned the call to that number…..and then waited another 37 minutes for an answer and was then told that I have to ring my GP Surgery all over again. This Surgery is extremely poor at giving people an appointment.
