    Been a patient here a number of years usually excellent care and good service infrastructure. Today sent an e mail to inform my GP of an assessment I had had and needed a referral from this assessment as we had previously agreed during a telephone discussion. E mail returned don’t do it that way any more had to fill in another process on line, link sent. This process is word limited........had to leave significant information out (frustrating) then when it came to fill in my own details the link closed down. No idea if this was sent or not. Terrible terrible system. Now I have to arrange a telephone consultation a total waste of my time and my GP’s

    Dear Gill, Thank you for your feedback. We can understand your frustration with this matter. I can confirm that we did receive your email with the detailed information regarding your referral update, and it was passed onto Dr Wells. In future, I will make sure that Reception acknowledges emails such as yours. We ask patients to use our email address as little as possible, as we receive a large number of queries and information from other healthcare providers, prescription requests from pharmacies and other general professional queries. The new system that we ask you to use (Accurx) has been rolled out by the NHS for patients to contact the Surgery, as it is much safer and secure. Any requests we receive via Accurx automatically gets saved onto the patient records, meaning that clinicians are able to view all queries/questions in one place (your medical records). One of our receptionists did send you a text message to advise your query had been forwarded to Dr Wells, and he will respond in due course. I hope this clarifies any misunderstanding of our new system. If you ever need to ask any questions, Reception are always here to help
