Impossible to get appointments..they use a system that sends u around in circles..not caring tgey lost the point of a doctors and what the patients want...last 5 years been going down hill....over a week to get an appointment and still haven't...cant get early diagnosis due to this surgery and the way its ran...poor....not fit for purpose

Elderly parent needed appointment, can’t get through on phone. Have to go up at 7 on a morning and wait for doors to open to then be told no appointments, even though previously told GP would have appointments. Dreadful service. E consult said needs medical attention but you can’t get through, time to change surgery.

My elderly relative is unable to go anywhere without assistance so I have taken over the ordering and collection of his repeat medicines. For six months or more I have been to the surgery or on the phone in order to explain this each time. I work full time and cannot keep taking time off to sort it out. Every time I order his medication all at once they are only allowing me half of them saying that it is too soon to order the rest. Six months ago I told them that I was getting the excess medicine destroyed so that I can order them altogether once every 2 months and still they haven't listened!!! Once again I have to go through the stress of contacting them to get the complete prescription sent to a pharmacy and now have less than a week before the medication runs out. This is not an acceptable service to me.

We do have a dedicated Medicine Management Team who will be able to assist you and address your ongoing concerns. The eConsult service is brilliant. Appointments have been offered to me in a timescale appropriate to the condition (a couple of days for something more urgent to a couple of weeks for something more routine). It saves time during the consultation as the clinician already has a good idea about what to discuss. Onward referrals to secondary care have always been made swiftly. I’m really pleased with this practice.

The waiting room for eye screening was upstairs - very small and cramped with people. They were not all patients, some had someone with them. There was no social distancing, only me wearing a face mask and a patient continually coughing. This is worrying given the rising Covid rates

The Diabetic Eye Screening Service runs and co-ordinates the clinic to which you refer and is one of many held in various venues across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Been trying since 8 am this morning to get an appointment. The phone has been engaged and now it is 15.10. In agony with arthritis and need help. People cannot get through ever. It puts people in a situation where they start to give up on their health issues and sit and suffer. I am finding this barbaric treatment to any human being. Its cruel and very unfair. Covid is over and there is still no improvement. Help this needs addressing fast.
