I cannot recommend the care given by this practice enough. They went out of their way to support our mother in getting our father into a nursing home close to their home. All the support services including District nurses / Palliative care nurses, the main GP at the Slieve Surgery and their Pharmacist could see that my mother could not cope with our fathers care and they shifted the earth and seas to get our father into a nearby nursing home so my mother could have respite and visit him easily. Thank you so much all the staff at the Slieve Surgery, there is no doubt in my mind that my mother would not have survived much longer in the care situation at home if the support given by this Surgery had not successfully procured a place at their local nursing home.

I have tried to contact the surgery by telephone today to get some test results and managed to get through 3 times and was waiting in a queue, but then was cut off 3 times. I have called for the test results after 1pm as requested, but have not been able to get my results due to this issue.

One of the nurses at this practice encouraged me to start having therapy, which has helped me immensely. I honestly couldn’t recommend this practice enough - I have so much trust in the staff, but particularly in the nurse who helped me. Thank you.

This setting has outstanding admin staff at the reception desk who care about their work. They are personable, friendly, patient and helpful. They work under pressure like all NHS settings in the current climate and work tirelessly for the benefit of patients as do the nurses and doctors. The admin staff are an effective cohesive team who reflect the ethos of the Practice and have a significant role in setting and maintaining the ethos. All the other staff I have met or spoken to over the phone in the Practice including doctors, nurses and others, strive to provide the best possible service under extraordinary challenging times. As a patient I appreciate their thoughtfulness. I understand that I am not allowed to name individuals on the NHS website. The staff who maintain the excellent indoor and outdoor environments make this Practice a welcoming setting. The staff in this Practice have a passion for excellence and clearly understand the significance of corporate responsibility and its positive impact on patients like me and themselves. I note the range of services available to patients and wonder how they manage this additional workload..... An impressive team of professionals led by an equally impressive leader.

Dr was extremely helpful throughout kept in constant contact Friendly receptionist who didn’t ask too much but just relevant questions

The doctors phone back as made an appointment and I must say he was very rude. Don’t have no time for me and very short. I have lost all confidence in this doctors surgery.

I saw one of the practice nurses for a sensitive condition and she was so gracious and made me feel really comfortable despite my embarrassment. Really helpful and knowledgeable, her efforts to put me at ease were very much appreciated. Many thanks! The reception desk staff were also very friendly.

I contacted the surgery about my 6 year old daughter who was unwell. We received a call back within half an hour and were seen immediately in the surgery. The doctor who saw us was kind, caring and thorough and his manner with my 2 daughters was excellent. We were seen, treated and back home within a little over an hour from our initial contact - absolutely amazing. Even more impressive was that the GP called me 2 days later to check how my daughter was - what a fantastic thing to do at a time when the NHS is under such incredible pressure. A true demonstration of patient centred care and we honestly could not have asked for better care than we received. We have always had good experiences at this surgery but I felt it was important to write this review to counter some of the negative comments about GP surgeries at this time. Thank you to all at the Slieve for the great work you are doing!

The medical staff, the admin and management are great. They deal with matters in a timely manner and are professional and courteous. The new partners have improved communication and welfare. I would highly recommend the surgery.
