I called in the practice for an appointment as I wasn’t well for couple of days. They redirected me to the online form which is responded within 2 days. My health deteriorated as I waited for the GP’s call. The pain was unbearable and I wasn’t able to eat anything. Had to walk into UTC for treatment. I had possible strep A infection. Thanks to the doctors there I was given amoxicillin and right treatment on time. The GP practice - how do you determine clinical emergency ? I am still waiting for that call. You need to improve your service or shut down please.

I tried to book an appointment using the new system. The appointment was changed & then almost cancelled on the day as the Dr had a ‘meeting’ to attend. Reluctantly the Dr saw me for all of 2mins & dismissed my concerns completely. 48 hours later, I’m visiting Teddington Hospital for antibiotics! I rarely need to visit the Dr & can’t believe how the service has declined.

The receptionist and doctors at Thameside are always good. In June I had worrying symptoms and had a phone triage . I was seen at the practice with in 20 minutes. Referred with a letter to A & E and have have two investigations and one procedure. My treatment is on going. Just so very grateful for amazing treatment.

Since 6 months or so, the level of service at this practice has gone south. I have had appointments canceled (by the practice) on the day(!), with a promise to get a next day appointment only to be contacted the day after that an appointment was only available 3 weeks after the canceled appointment. Then, for a different matter, I had a phone appointment with the GP. A name of the GP that is not on the list of practitioners at the practice. It it practically impossible to get a face-to-face appointment with the GP's at this practice after you have explained your circumstances to their receptionist. Uncomfortable subjects have to be discussed over the phone rather than face to face which makes the relationship with your GP 'distanced'. They do no longer know you as an individual. Then, to top it off, I was asked to come in to see the GP. When I turned up at the GP for my appointment, I was told the GP had left and that I 'simply' had to make a new appointment online..... (likley another 3 weeks or more waiting with no record of the call that I had with the GP that has now left thye practice).This is really testing patients to the limit! Having said all this, I want to finish on a positive note. The nurses at the practice are amazing! They are personable and always helpful.
