  1. Review titled Inefficient

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 May 2024

I was instructed to make a follow up appointment for my daughter following a previous onsite procedure. This had to be rescheduled. I was texted the details of the new appt. However, when my daughter arrived, the Dr went through the same process of diagnosis. However was unable to assist as it needed to be scheduled with original Dr. Another issue was raised. To which my daughter was advised to rebook online. This was very badly managed from booking the appointment to being dismissed with no action, after waiting for over half an hour to be seen. My daughter left feeling distressed and unheard.

  3. Review titled Pathetic practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Early this month (January) had a number of issues and feeling very low, I did get a quick appointment due to my conditions but asked by the doctor what did I think the problem was. I was sent to reception to organise a blood test, I was advised she was to busy and to come back later in the day. This I did but I have to wait three weeks for a blood test. Could be dead by then. Real attitude and it's getting worse!

  4. Review titled Clinical physician associate

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Megan - Posted on 26 January 2024

I have seen the clinical physician associate a number of times for appointments. Yesterday I saw them regarding my poorly 15 month old. Every appointment I've had with them, whether it's for myself or my child, they have been extremely thorough and professional. Every time I've walked away feeling positive as the appointment is always so patient centred and I feel involved in the care. I am made to feel comfortable and ask questions if I need to, which I think is so important. It's very apparent that they have extensive clinical knowledge but also know their professional boundaries and when to refer to other professionals, which makes me as the patient feel safe and secure. I'm very grateful to have had such positive experiences with them every time but especially yesterday as it was regarding my child.

  6. Review titled Constantly on hold

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Tom - Posted on 13 November 2023

I’ve been on the phone for 1 hour and 15 mins still no answer. I have given up I’ll phone again tomorrow to be on hold for god knows how long. Everytime we phone it’s a min of an hour call. If we even make the top 10 on the waiting. Constantly cut off

  7. Review titled Appointment availability

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 November 2023

I asked the receptionist face to face for a GP appointment at some point in the next week or so. No privacy when asked to explain why. Then only offered triage. This is not a robust, supportive or a accommodating service. it appears to be too much to expect to achieve a non emergency appointment with a GP and discuss with them only my reason for requesting an appointment. I cannot stuck on a phone for two hours in the hope of getting an appointment, this is unachievable, which is why I visited your reception.

  8. Review titled Waste of an appointment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Catherine Foster - Posted on 09 October 2023

Last week I wrote a review, waited for my email confirmation which did not come, so presume my review will not be published. Yet another reason why I would not recommend this practice. My review was about having a flu vaccination appointment. Having been given the appointment by a nurse at the practice (not the one I eventually saw), I attending the appointment, I was told that I was not entitled to have it. I told the nurse that I was because my husband was clinically vulnerable but the nurse was having none of it. Kept quoting the NHS website, but obviously this person had not read it because quite clearly it states on the website that I was. Having taken my booking it was a compete waste of not only my time but the appointment time. In an age where you cannot get an appointment easily to see anyone I was disgusted at the way I was treated. "So whats wrong with your husband" was the derogatory mannered question. The nurse made me feel like I was lying to get a free flu vaccination. Both my clinically vulnerable husband and I have been at the practice for 10 years. My experience with the practice in that time has not been great. I rarely see a doctor, and when I have they have made me feel as if I have wasted there time. So this was the last straw; thankfully I am in the catchment area for another surgery. Hopefully they will treat me with a little more respect, and not make me feel I am doing something wrong. I was entitled to the vaccination not just for me but to help to protect an immuno-compromised hard organ transplant patient; something the goverment thinks I should do but not the Taverham Surgery.

  9. Review titled Finally understood

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Zoe - Posted on 25 July 2023

I came in for an appointment with an ANP today and she was absolutely incredible. She didn’t make me feel like I was wasting her time and was brilliant with talking to me to get to the bottom of my problems. I have never felt so listened to and understood, I wanted to say a massive thank you. Also praise to the whole surgery especially the reception team, I’ve been where you are and it’s one of the hardest jobs going, you are all great.
