    Have had tests recently. The practice nurse helped me make a further appointment then the doctor made my next appointment from her desk. Never had to wait more than 10 mins from my appointment time unless an emergency occurred. Receptionists always courteous. Dont phone early if you can help it. I got through in 2 calls at mid afternoon. Only 1 gripe my friend had an appointment early in the day and their car would not start. They had no qhuick way of contacting the surgery from where they were. i.e. phone.

    Five different days of ringing for appointment. Gave up each time after their phone hangs up on me. It's been two years since my last medication review, its highly negligent of this surgery. I have to take a combination of important medication but they really don't care about patients welfare. Don't bother ringing this surgery, save yourself time and just head straight to accident and emergency.

    Disgraceful every call gets hung up on and I bet the usual bs from reception will be yes we have issues with the telephone lines which was same excuse ive heard before so need to move my daughter to a decent practice

    Unpleasant receptionists that is when they actually answer - on one occasion walking into the surgery having been ringing for 45 mins and finding three reception staff sitting and having a chat . Having to visit surgery to cancel an appointment as they don’t answer the phone sometimes waiting over an hour and then cut off . What happens if your elderly or disabled . I haven’t had an epilepsy review for 2 years and I’ve got to see a pharmacist . I used to have one yearly with a doctor !!! It seems to me that they feel patients are an inconvenience . I recently had to visit out of hours as ‘they were too busy to fit me in ‘ the staff there told me that is a regular occurrence from Swadlincote surgery .

    I received a text from the surgery was unable to open link as I am at present awaiting important test results I have tried to contact surgery by telephoner over the past two days three times have been on hold for a total of over 90 minutes surely this is unacceptable. Am at present on telephone again waiting already 20 min

    I've been on hold for 25 minutes. Then I'm cut off with a message that all our advisors are busy at the moment. Call back later. That's so frustrating when you have waited that long and then just cut off.

    I sent an email to the surgery on 20.10.2022 and received an automated response: "Thank you for submitting a message to the practice. One of our receptionists will reply to you as soon as possible via email. We will try to respond to all queries within 5 working days. Please note that this service is not for urgent medical enquiries." It's been 11 days and I have still not received a response. Also, I cannot get through on the phone. Getting through to the surgery is very difficult and, for those of us in work, near impossible.

    After listening to a minute-long recording of one of the doctors explaining which call option to choose, one's ears are then subjected to terrible music, whilst on hold. Every so often the music is interrupted by a voice stating "Your call will be answered in the order it was received, please continue to hold." After continuing to hold, for protracted periods of time (20 minutes on average), the call, more often than not, is then terminated...and so begins a cycle of calls that just don't get answered. The call system needs revising.

    After trying all week to book a blood test appointment with a nurse again I failed, having been told that I was in a que and to wait great I thought at last success so I waited for nearly 1hour and my phone died, not to be put off I tried again full battery this time only to be told the receptionists were busy and to call back later, the phone then went dead. So later on I attempted to call again and this time the line was dead. All week this has happened can somebody from the surgery Please explain what is going on.

    I needed a change medication this was dealt with quickly and efficiently. My daughter rang the surgery and medication was ready within an hour, this was followed by a home visit next day, super staff doing a great job.
