  2. Review titled Appalling telephone and reception service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Receptionist very unhelpful and miserable yesterday in the surgery. I had to wait to be served while they finished their chat and was then told to hold on twice while she asked a colleague for a drink and then to say goodbye to another colleague. Told to ring in the morning and have just held on for 35 minutes to move up 2 places I. The queue. Quite unbelievable. Still not resolved the problem which is really urgent

  3. Review titled Post-covid decline - what a shame

Rated 1 star out of 5

A new website for the surgery, but unfortunately reduced services: - no appointments offered later than 18:30 in the evening any longer; - hardly any face to face appointments are available in general; - the eConsult form used to be open after hours; now you cannot even complete an eConsult form after 18:30 or at the weekend so that the doctors can contact you the next day; - no essential vaccines offered for free on the NHS any longer; - some of the reception staff used to be very polite, now they sound clueless on the phone. They cannot provide advice or properly prioritise access to the GPs even when an issue is urgent. It seems the communication between the patient, the GPs and the reception staff is fragmented and disjointed.

  4. Review titled really need to update the phone system

Rated 3 stars out of 5

i have twice tried to book an appointment and only had a doctors call back and the treatment doesnt seem to be working. calling today at 8am i was number 2 in the queue which reasonably quickly changed to number one. since then i have sat on hold and still currently am on hold for 43 minutes. how can this be possible? this seems to be the case every time you call or you wait forever to be told no appointments. after being with the surgery all of my life 47 years im considering going elsewhere

  5. Review titled Dismal Decline of Once-Functioning Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Even taking the COVID situation into account, this surgery has suffered a very sharp decline in the past couple of years. As with many GPs’ surgeries, a face-to-face appointment is now the exception rather than the rule and allows professionals to adopt a very uncaring, inefficient attitude. The doctors who have been there years have swiftly adopted the remote, dispassionate and casual attitude of the new ones who have joined. Very difficult and protracted to contact anyone there and, when you can, it’s a “can’t do” attitude. What a contrast from the vibrant, helpful atmosphere that used to exist. If anyone thinks the new presentation is “modern”, they’re wrong. Just a depressing mess of non- communication and couldn’t-care-less.

  6. Review titled Communication

I received an email this morning stating that I need a blood test, I checked the opening times online and the surgery was open until 18:30 (Thursday 29/04/2022). I then walked up to the Surgery to fined it was closed. I then rang and got a message that it was closed for staff training but it did not say when it was reopening and there was no way of finding out when it was reopening. I have got to say I’ve found the service at this surgery to be very good but was let down on this occasion. Regards Tony
