Always a phone call. Never a chance to speak to a GP face to face. I appreciate sometimes it isn’t always necessary for a face to face appointment but it would be nice to be given the option. Not always able to say what you need to say over the phone due to lack of privacy at home.

I recently had to attend the surgery as my tablets weren’t taking away the pain. The lovely GP changed my tablets, sent me for an X-ray and followed up by referring me to another clinic. Well done Sothall

I am a regular visitor at the Sothall surgery due to ongoing back issues and on each occasion I have needed the surgery all my needs have been met and some, the counter staff are helpful the doctors are professional and courteous, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this surgery to anyone in need of medical help and care, many thanks indeed.

On 2 occasions rang your new ring back facility didn't work in 1 case it took 45 mins to get my call answered in the 2nd case 40 mins. Receptionist checked results of my blood test. She was unable to explain results bu referred me to another blood test. It would seem sensible to me, a non medical man, to have a doctor explain the results

I was summoned by text to make an appointment for this regular annual review. This was subsequently rearranged by the surgery at 24 hours notice due to staff shortages. On attending I was surprised to be seen by a nurse who merely took my blood pressure (despite my providing 2x2 readings for the previous 7 days) and blood samples. She then arranged an appointment for the practice nurse to ring me in 2 weeks time. This happened and all then progressed as normal. It was ok but the whole experience a bit disjointed as I would expect from my surgerys admin.

The gp i had for my appointment I've never seen before, totally clueless. Told him i was having a lot of pain with my left foot/toe I had difficulty getting my shoe on walking was an issue plus I wasn't sleeping cos of the pain He hadn't a clue on which painkillers I was taking so he hadn't read my notes he gave me a prescription for some cream & if it didn't work within 3/4 days throw it in the bin The cream didn't work

I got an appointment same day and saw a locum who was extremely professional and referred me to hospital to see a specialist. Whole experience was good.

The doctor made a home visit and actively listened to what I said. I felt listened to and respected. They were fully aware of my medical history. The doctor was patient and thorough they spent time with me and didn’t rush.

I called into the surgery to request an appointment. There were none left but due to my symptoms I was offered a phone appointment. As a result of this I was asked to go to the surgery and was dealt with very efficiently.

I had to phone 3 times to get a repeat prescription. The first time I explained I needed it urgently as the tablets I had were out of date. I was told they’d have to check if I could have it or needed to speak to GP first. I was asked to call back the following day. When I called back the following day I was told they hadn’t referred it and would need to call again. I asked if they could call me back when they had referred it and was told no, they don’t make call backs. I called late morning the following day and despite being second in the queue, it took 18 minutes for them to answer my call. Thankfully, I did get the prescription.
