    I called up the GP surgery in order to be seen as an out of hours patient, registered with another Haringey GP, baring in mind im partially sighted and partially deaf. I attempted to book an appointment after being placed on hold for nearly 10 minutes, the lady who then answered sounded extremely agitated, I explained the above to her that as per the NHS website could I be seen as an out of hours patient, she stated no and that it has to be booked via my GP surgery which I knew was incorrect as I’ve been seen as an out of hours patient there before, I explained this to her however after her insisting this was incorrect I then just asked for her name to which she stated, as I couldn’t hear her properly I asked her her to spell it, this initially was not to complain it’s just so I could referance her name when and if I call up again, she then refused, I asked why and explained the above disabilities to her and her again she declined, she clearly is use to receiving complaints so became very angry, I then asked her speak to another person, who again came on the phone sounding very agitated, would not give me a chance to speak and then attempted to shout me down, when this wouldn’t work he then terminated the phone call! Discrimination and verbal abuse at its finest! Please avoid them at all costs because based on a less then 25 minute interaction, they are useless, I’ve also noted a lot more negative ratings too however I always try to give things a try myself and it’s fair to say, they are awful people to deal with and an awful GP surgery.

    Dear Aayesha, I think you have put your review against the wrong surgery, we are Somerton House Surgery in Midsomer Norton, we are nowhere near Haringey. If possible can you have it removed. Many Thanks Caron Practice Manager

    I had need yesterday to contact my surgery as I was concerned about my wheezing chest. My first interaction was on the phone, and when I explained my issue the receptionist was supportive, helpful, courteous and professional. She quickly came back to me to say she would get me a slot to see your Asthma Nurse at 4pm that afternoon. I just needed some reassurance that things were OK with my breathing. The consultation I had with the Asthma Nurse was so thorough. She took her time to listen to my concerns and made an extensive examination of my wheezing chest. She even took time to have a look in my ear that had suffered from the cabin pressure on the aircraft on my trip home on Monday. All in all, I felt cared for and confident in her diagnosis. The prescription was sent to the Pharmacy where my wife was working that day, so she was able to get it dispensed and bought it home with her. I really value the help, advice, support and understanding you all have shown recently and over the many years I’ve been with your Practice. Excellent surgery team

    Dear John, Thank you for your review, its really great for all staff to receive such positive comments, we do feel at times there is little understanding of the pressure surgeries are under when understaffed, underfunded and on occasion abused and having feedback like this does help to make staff smile.
