    phone busy after 40 calls. it is a single point of failure. Busy all the time, impossible to make an appointment

    Thank you for getting in touch and apologies for the frustration and problems you've had trying getting through to us on the phone. We are aware that it can be a challenge to get through to us on the phone at times, this is due to the high level of demand we are facing. The good news is that we are updating our phone system very soon enabling patients to request a call back from us, rather than waiting or having to try multiple times.     I rang the surgery this morning 19./4/23 and spoke to a receptionist who sounded young she didn't give her name Her attitude was disgusting telling me what was normal and what wasn't in my blood results and that it was too soon to get another test .I have reported this person before as I heard her laughing on the phone when I asked for a GP appointment which was something guite serious .I thought it was a doctor who decided what was normal and what wasn't

    Thank you for taking the time to share this experience; I’m sorry to hear it was a negative one. Without more information it is difficult for me to investigate further however based on what you’ve said I will try and provide some helpful information. Once a GP has reviewed a Patient’s blood test result the Reception Team are able to view that result and the GP comments including if the result is normal or not and whether another test is needed and when. The reception team are then authorised to share this information with a patient. So, it is not them making the decisions but passing on the GP’s decisions. Possibly this could have been communicated to you better at the time.     The Sefton plaze medical centre is one of the Best if not the Best Doctor's surgery I've ever been to, not only are the staff excellent at what they do ( getting messages to your Doctor if you ring ) but the medical staff are excellent aswell, I've been going there for about 3 or 4 years, I normally see the same Dr but if I can't for some reason the other Dr's or nurse's have been just as good, if you don't live in the area it's worth travelling a little bit further for the treatment you get. I can't speak highly enough of this practice and this is my only way to say Thank You.

    This is the second time you have let me down and not contacted me the first time I had to call an ambulance myself. Today I called with somethingworrying me about my health and again you have not contacted me! I’m waiting for hospital test results so am obviously stressed. Why have telephone appointments.I’m totally fed up with outpatient appointments telephone appointments and tests.Why would I bother calling the surgery unless I really needed to. Some people do actually dislike any form of hospital and gp appointments!.
