The Nurses are very good but Reception is under staffed which means you are late for appointments. Telephone appointments are very difficult.

Really shocked at the lack of respect, empathy and consideration this surgery gives. Called at 8am was 8th in the queue and then told there were no doctors appointments (face to face or telephone)! The reception staff have a real lack of understanding and no privacy. There does not seem to be any substantive doctors at the surgery any longer, where has the family GP gone?! Something must be done quickly with Penn Manor to address the problems that obviously not only I come across!

  4. Review titled Surgery Locums Don't Listen to Their Patients Properly!

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Recently visited this surgery for a health problem that's been ongoing, on & off since 2019. When I explained my symptoms, the locum doctor I saw, seemed to be steering the outcome with a possible diagnosis that I felt wasn't relevant, (you know your own body) although investigations are still ongoing, I just wish they'd listen properly to the patient giving their symptoms, . . . . & keep an open mind. Also it's important to show a little more empathy with their patients, as I really dislike going to the surgery at the best of times, I get anxious, you leave often feeling misheard, & not really relevant in the grand scale of things. I may look to change surgery, as nearly everyone I've spoken with who are/have been registered here, have shared similar or worse experiences with this surgery, such a shame, & unacceptable as a 'serving' doctors surgery.:-(

Tried to get an appointment for my 2 year old granddaughter who had been vomiting for two days and yet again no appointments available. Over the course of one week I have had to go to the walk-in centre 3 times. Thank goodness for the Phoenix Centre. When is something going to be done about the appalling service, or lack of it, at Penn Manor?

Absolutely appalling service. My appointment to have an ear syringe has been cancelled three times, each time stating that the nurse is not qualified to carry it out - yet the appointments kept being rebooked. Ear is so painful, cannot hear out of it and it’s been 3 weeks since my original appointment date and I still have not had the procedure. I even booked to go privately for £70 because I could not wait, the doctors rearranged my appointment so I cancelled the private appointment only to be rang an hour before by Penn Manor cancelling the appointment again. Have had to rebook a private appointment and will be moving to a different surgery.
