    I rang someone on reception yesterday who then said my appointment can be moved and had a phone call today to say no not possible and now the women is saying my previous appointment has gone now they are rude and terrible for running on time

    In view of on-going problems, I have needed to have contact with the practice quite a bit over the past 3 months. I cannot praise all the staff enough. The Receptionists have tried to help as much as possible. The Practice Nurse and Advanced Nurse Practitioners have taken the time to explain things as have the GPS I have seen. Of course there are problems with the time taken for a call to be answered and the wait for appointments but that seems to be the same wherever you go. We should applaud when things go well. The steady stream of negative comments must be so disheartening for those trying to do a good job with limited resources. Thankyou to all at Oakridge Park Medical Centre.

    It is extremely difficult to get an appointment with this practice. They are very good at contacting a patient when they need to; for screenings etc., but when a patient needs to speak to them - nothing. I will not attend any preventative screenings, until they respond to my needs. This practice has all forms of online communication disabled. The NHS is broken and this practice has died

    Had a review of my blood test results this morning (these are every 6 months). I had some concerns with the results but the health care person completely missed the point, recorded it incorrectly in my notes, didn't know what they were talking about, got quite annoyed with me and finished by saying: "are you blaming me for all your problems?" - seriously? Is that how nhs staff talk to patients now? I really do not want to see this person again, but I don't see that I have a choice - there is only the one person for this service! My issues are not resolved. It is always a total waste of my time. No wonder the NHS is on its knees! The problem is there is nowhere else to go! It's just incompetence everywhere you go these days. The practice has been going steadily downhill for some years now - all the original doctors have left and the management is clearly incapable - and I do not see it getting better - not in my lifetime anyway - being an old pensioner. All this just adds to the stress of an already stressful modern society we live in.

    How can this practice be taking on new patients when existing ones can't get an appointment! This practice seriously needs to improve its appointment system. No pre-bookable appointments available online or by telephone. In order to attempt to get an appointment you need to call the surgery at 8am for an on the day appointment. This would work if you were able to get through! I have been trying for a month now, re-dialing over a hundred times to get through. If you are able to do that the queue is almost an hour long and at times 15-20 callers ahead of you. This is a waste of time, as when you do get though all the appointments are taken. So like many others i try the same process over and over, putting up with my symptoms, hoping its nothing serious. No wonder The A&E departments are so full all the time!

    After calling at 8AM i was pleased to only have one person ahead of me in the queue and my call would be answered in 4 minutes. 17 minutes later it is answered and i am told they have no doctors appointments only nurse practitioner and not until 2:40pm. I asked if they had anything earlier to be told in a sarcastic manner that if they had anything earlier she would have offered it to me. At this surgery you cannot pre book appointments (only the very rare ones released online) so why are doctors not available first thing in the morning.

    I have received messages to book a health check with the nurse twice now but unfortunately cannot book these appointments online, when calling the surgery the wait for booking exceeds the time i have available to make the call, i cannot wait upwards of an hour just to book a nurses appointment, it would be really good if you could actually book an appointment and not keep receiving reminders to book an appointment when it is literally impossible to get through with a reasonable wait nor the ability to book online. Good thing i dont have any chronic health issues... oh wait I do... how can you have a duty of care when you don't care about answering the phones or make the care easily accessible.

    I waited yesterday to be called back off a doctor and and i wasnt because they ran out of time i rang like 135 times just to get threw it was rediculous service and judt for them to ring today a couple of times for the doctor to hang up everytime i answered they are useless tbh telling me i got missed off from yesterday but i was 14th call in the que

    The surgery contacted 2 days ago to arrange for me to speak to a GP in 2 weeks regarding the results of a recent ultrasound scan. We are away then and, for various reasons, I needed the results as soon as possible. I explained this to the receptionist who spoke with the GP. A short while later the results were sent to me. I cannot thank the surgery enough for all their help in sorting this. They may not always get it right but they certainly did so this time. Thanks.

    I have seen many doctors in my life, lived many places in uk. The doctors here actually look you in the eyes and listen to what you are saying. I have seen 3 GPs here now and they were all patient, didn't make assumptions or push me out with a prescription, but took time to understand symptoms and push forward with exploration and advice and follow up!!!. I have never felt so cared for as a patient by a GP. Likewise, several times receptionists have helped me when i have found myself in situations caused by my own bad planning without judgement. They have always done everything to find solutions in an efficient manner. I have never waited long for an appointment when i attend which is unheard of!
