Attended for my yearly review, seen by a smart, clever young lady, who was very helpful and put me at ease tremendously. This is how it should be done. Super work Meadowside medical centre. Clean surgery too

My experience of the care provided at Meadowside over a number of years has always been good. Recent appointments with the practice nurse team have been excellent: clear advice, pleasant and supportive. GP appointments have been excellent. Blood tests, prescriptions efficiently dealt with.

The reception staff were very welcoming and the nurse was so helpful with my problem. The test results came back and medication was dispensed to my chosen pharmacy very quickly. First class service from a very stretched NHS at the moment - well done.

The young lady receptionist that dealt with me was more interested in talking in the back office than manning the reception desk. She then lied that she was on the phone when I could clearly see her standing chatting. I was kept waiting ages trying to drop off paperwork that seemed to not have been received from my consultant. When she finally came forward to see me she was very rude indeed. What a shame that this is the first impression a new patient would see! All the other receptionists and doctors have always been helpful and professional. The young lady should definitely consider a career change that is not patient facing .

I attended the practice for a routine screening procedure I usually dread. The nurse was very reassuring. She explained changes to the testing service & dealt with a query I had. I felt very reassured by her knowledge & competence. The nurse was very reassuring whilst carrying out the procedure & it was over in seconds & painless. She was so gentle. Previously it had always been a painful & traumatic procedure. As I result of the query I had raised it was advised I should have an ultrasound scan. 3 weeks later I have received an appointment for that scan. I cannot recommend the practice & service highly enough.

Whilst I was visiting the surgery recently for a routine appointment, in the waiting room the staff had a medical emergency. What a fabulous team from reception, nurses, GP, the care was second to non, other patients dealt with swiftly, what great care by all.
