  1. Review titled Fantastic District Nursing team!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by David R - Posted on 22 November 2023

I was delighted with the end-of-life care the District Nursing team provided for my mother in the last week of her life. They were available 24/7 and could be contacted easily. Whenever we had any concerns that my mum was distressed or in pain, we could make a call at any time day or night and a nurse would arrive promptly. They were always very kind and sensitive and knew what to do in order to make her comfortable. Arrangements were put in place very quickly to provide a hospital bed and other necessary equipment. It made such a difference to us knowing that such help was available. Many thanks!

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or supportive, from start to ongoing treatment , nothing to much trouble, both Doctors that I saw were extremely supportive, I can’t thank them enough, I hope they stay at the practice, they are both a credit to their profession

  3. Review titled Emergency Let Down

Rated 1 star out of 5

My wife had a street accident on Monday morning 22 May 2023 falling over on the raised stones next to the pedestrian light crossing in Kinson just out side the South Coast Power House Gym who rushed out to help her. She had damaged her nose, her head. They managed to stop the bleeding of her nose but were concerned that she could have concussion seeing the state she was in. They stated that she should get treatment quickly just in case. So when I drove to pick her up I took her round the corner to Kinson Medical Centre. Told them what happened they said a nurse would check her out but would have to wait about 50 mins, so had to sit down which I thought would help her to relax. They asked for her date of birth then found out it was not our surgery so they refused to see her, they asked us were our surgery was, told them Verwood, which is about 8 miles away, they told us to take her there which would take about 20-25 mins. NHS doctors not good luckily she is ok but this could have been serious. If this happens again will call for ambulance. My wife is in late 70's the way she was treated by this medical Centre was bad so we will not look at moving our doctors to this surgery.

  4. Review titled Unhelpful.

My family never go to the doctors unless we really have to. But even then, it is absolutely impossible to book an appointment and some of the receptionists are very rude and unhelpful. I also find it very unprofessional when they want to ascertain the reason for your visit when they are not trained medical professionals. Patients should be able to book an appointment without having to divulge their medical history to a receptionist. I just hope we don’t fall seriously ill as we would never get an appointment.
