    Was recently seen by the Dr's here. I submitted an online form and received a response within a couple of hours, then shortly after a telephone call to book me for an appointment, which was within 2 weeks. I was really impressed with the timely response of the surgery. I've only been at this surgery a couple of years but they've always been so helpful. Yes it's busy if you need to ring early in the morning but I doubt there are many places that aren't. I've always been seen by an appropriate clinician. Would recommend this surgery to my family and friends 100%

    Given the pressure the NHS is under, King’s has always exceeded my expectations as a patient and relative of patients. Whilst there may not be appointments available at the exact time we need them, the attentiveness of the staff and their ability to arrange appropriate appointments and care is incredible. If they can’t meet my needs, they’ve always given appropriate alternative advice. The care from the GP’s and practice nurses is exceptional, with time taken to listen and respond to symptoms and issues and to arrange appropriate care and give advice.

    The clinical staff, if you ever manage to get in touch with them by some miracle, are wonderful and do their absolute best under the circumstances. The administrative aspect however is absolutely awful, uncommunicative, and frankly I would deem incompetent. Missing coding of conditions on medical records, letters that get sent to the surgery seem to disappear, 30+ minute hold times to get to 'Enquiries' who are seemingly unable to actually provide any information, the only way to discuss anything prescription related is by email - and good luck getting any kind of response except an autoreply. I genuinely dread having to make any attempt to contact this surgery for any reason, as I know I will have to put aside potentially several hours for even the simplest of queries, and even then probably get nowhere fast. I absolutely understand the NHS itself is struggling, and as I mentioned the actual clinical staff - if you get to them - are empathetic, understanding, and do their best with the extremely limited time they have, and the service absolutely has by utmost support, love and respect for what it does - but because of the stress, anxiety and frustration every time I have to engage with the surgery I would absolutely recommend registering elsewhere.

    Tried to book a GP appointment as I think I have a lumbar bulging disc that is effecting me at work and home life , extremely painful at times , when I rang for an appointment I was told none available for next two weeks , they never even asked me what was wrong with me .So I drove to the GPs and went to reception, they where more understanding but still no appointment, I was told to queue up in the mornings out side the GPs at 8am , I tried to explain but gave up and said basically your saying go to A&E , yet A&E say only come in emergency, so I’m at home in pain suffering and cannot get an appointment. How can I continue to live and work with severe back pain , yet I was told maybe go private , great what do I pay national insurance for them ,

    Trying to cancel an appointment, you have to join the que where people want to make an app. Mon was waiting 36mins Tues waiting 48mins Thurs currently waiting 31mins so far, been number one for 18mins…. No wonder people don’t cancel appointments and just don’t turn up! You can’t get through to cancel. You need a separate option for people to cancel appointments so you can call once & it’s delt with swiftly, then freeing up appointments not taking 3 days and still not managed to cancel appointment.

    Been trying since last Friday to get a GP appointment when ever ! Face to face or phone chat ! Cannot get any all I get on that automated service is none available! I was told by the practice that appointments are available to book on that system ! Yes system says no !! This is a joke I am kept on hold ! Fobbed off and given the run around ! Very disappointed with this new service and the half truths I’ve been told by internal staff since last Friday ! I am suffering in pain and they don’t seem bothered !

    Unable to get appointments, no booking apart from on the day. Phone lines on hold for ages. Ring back service not working. This practice has declined to a level where action needs to be taken either by the Doctors or ultimately by the NHS. I never thought that I would have to leave a review saying not fit for purpose

    Tried to book a doctors appointment in the automated system for either face to face or phone call back and guess what no appointments available! I was told on Friday last week to do this and sent home by receptionist at front desk and I have and I still cannot get an appointment! I have bulging discs in my lumbar and having issues walking and sitting and sleeping now my work is effected !! This is becoming a bit like medical negligence as I cannot get any appointments at all !! What is going on ! I pay national insurance ! I was told last week maybe go private on!! Why is it so hard to see a doctor at this surgery I have been with them for over 30 years and it’s never been this bad !!! So disappointed and in pain ! Unnecessary pain ! That you !! It’s suppose to be a new system to help patients! Well it has not !!

    From my initial call right through to collecting my prescription everyone I spoke to/saw (appointments, reception, doctor, nurse, pharmacy) was professional, caring, helpful and considerate. I have been treated with so much kindness, dignity and respect, particularly the doctor, who organised a blood test appointment while I waited. Thank you very much for looking after me so quickly.

    I have recently moved from my old GP surgery to King's Medical and having read the reviews here I thought I had made a huge mistake. 1st call to them there was a 20 minute wait, I then requested the option of calback. 10 minutes later I was talking to a member of staff, everything sorted. Today I did the same to request a flu jab, by 4pm same day I had my flu and covid jab. All done. I then made a nurses appointment whilst there for December all booked in. I do understand the phone delays but can assure you it was the same in my previous surgery. By using the call back I got to the front of the queue quicker. I cannot fault them, everyone was nice and I hope under the staff shortages at the moment, people take that in to account.
