  1. Review titled Inadequate

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Kevin feeney - Posted on 16 March 2024

I have Had a hip problem for 5 months and only received my steroid injection yesterday every time I have requested a appointment I have only had telephone appointments which is totally inadequate and unhelpful as all I have been prescribed is painkillers which is not getting to the root of the problem. Also trying to get a repeat or any kind of medication prescribed takes so long that I run out before they are prescribed which is unacceptable. Having eventually getting my long waited for steroid injection which was very well done by the doctor I feel badly let down by the practice across the whole departments in getting any kind response or getting appointments. Whether it is the norm the surgery was empty when I came yesterday which I found incredible as I have had trouble as said in getting appointments

Very thorough and felt as if I actually was listened too. Has booked appointments with other departments to further my treatment.

  3. Review titled Seeking advice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by Susan.Hills - Posted on 01 March 2024

GP was welcoming, however I was disappointed not to be able to be treated within the practice. I also thought perhaps the fact that I am 76 (an old biddy) may have influenced any further decision about treatment. I left feeling despondent and still worried. However I told myself my problem was perhaps not as important to others as it is to me. I felt it was a case of (you should expect this at your age). I felt I had wasted both mine and the doctor's time.

Dear Susan, I'm sorry to hear you felt disappointed and despondent after seeking medical help. Your concerns are valid, and seeking medical advice is never a waste of time. I can see that the doctor has referred you to the dermatologist to seek further advice as they are the specialists in this field. If you do require further assistance please do not hesitate to re contact the surgery. Alisha Practice Manager

  5. Review titled Mental Health chat

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Great calls with mental health team. Got me in for blood tests to check me over and did find I was low on B12 which was probably the main cause of how I am feeling mentally and physically. Also then arranged another appoinment for me with a seperate GP for another concern that I have. Yes this surgery has its struggles due to ammount of patients, a lot of other surgeries have the same issue but they do their best with the sources they have.

  6. Review titled Duty of care

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 February 2024

Took 2 weeks to get an appointment. Started with a phoncall then GP decided to see me. GP seems to be under pressure. Had been dealt for what I came for. However I had another couple of questions regarding general concerns about my health which got answered only because I insist after being told that GP have other patients. Duty of care is for all. If I was in surgery every other day for benign concerns I would understand but I haven't been to a GP dor over 2 years .

I visited about a recurring knee problem. The doctor I saw took a lot of time examining me, explaining the condition (including pictures) and advising on treatment.

I had two injections to relieve my arthritis and I'm not too good with needles but they made me feel very relaxed and confident with their very professional attitude,I hardly felt any pain and came away feeling that I've been treated like a celebrity. Highly recommend practice
