  1. Review titled Waiting a week for repeat prescription

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jason - Posted on 26 April 2024

Ordered repeat prescription via email Sunday night. Phoned them on Wednesday to check it had been done. Told it would be signed by Friday. Rang Friday and told nobody to sign it and will have to wait until Monday. So now repeat prescription is going to taking over a week to get issued. Poor considering it's for a child.

  2. Review titled Incompetent

Left me waiting over half an hour for an appointment to then tell me they'd booked me the wrong type of appointment and that I'd have to wait another 2 weeks to be seen. Also tried to blame me for their mistake. Receptionists had terrible attitude and completely unhelpful.

The staff that answer the phones need a course in “people management “ the way you are spoken to is awful! Cannot locate prescriptions in a timely manner no notice is taken from hospital letters ! do not use this surgery if you want a long life !

Back in 2022 I was diagnosed with Cancer, I went through treatment and I’m in full remission, however due to the treatment I am expected to have a weakened immune system for the rest of my life, because of this I’m eligible for the flu vaccine whenever winter comes around. At least once a month since the beginning of September I have contacted the surgery either on the phone or in person (when I’ve gone in regarding other health issues) about being eligible for the vaccine and if I can book an appointment, every time they have came back with the same response “we’re currently focusing on the elderly and will contact you when it’s your turn”, focusing on the elderly and those most vulnerable I completely understand, but even today, 2 weeks into 2024, I still haven’t received any contact about when I can go in to receive this vaccine, I have now been ill for the last 3 weeks trying to overcome the flu, with me still struggling with some severe symptoms, something that may not have affected me as much if I had received the vaccine I am eligible to receive.

We have been offering the seasonal influenza vaccine since September 2023. As you have not identified yourself I am unable to investigate this further, please contact the Practice and ask to speak to the Practice Manager and I will endeavour to find out why you have not been offered the vaccine prior to today and book you on once you are well. Many thanks

  5. Review titled Terrible practice

Can't get an appointment for months. Eventually they give me one for two weeks time. Appointment on day chased twice as should have been am but no one called. Advised doctor changed to pm but I wasn't notified. Advised will be calling soon. No call I ring after an hour to be told the doctor has called me I've must have had no signal. Absolute joke i had phone by my side all day with full signal whilst at work waiting for the call nothing received. I advised I would provide my call logs to prove no call received. Said left voicemail I have no voicemail. Advised can rebook in for two weeks time I asked for it to be escalated to Manager she said she in meeting ill call you back. Called back offered appointment for week and a half nothing they could do. Advised go walk in or ring 111 Advised them if I do this they will refer me back to gp as they had done on previous visits. So your supposed to suffer for longer because they ring the incorrect number. I get this can happen someone rings the incorect number but why not try again and at least offer another earlier appointment. Told to check online for availability appointments but there never is any. Advised I've rung everyday before getting this one but never anything left despite calling as soon as they open. So complaints process is speak to the manager but you can't get hold of them and no where to leave a review or contact on their website. Can't believe how bad this surgery has got. Used to be able to get an appointment even calling on day but now no chance. Just hope I get a call for the next one.

  6. Review titled Extremely bad practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

what a disgrace It is no wonder the nhs is in such a mess with Surgeries like these. It is impossible to receive a face to face gp consultation, they will only do pre booked zoom or phone consultations anything that is of a more urgent nature ie. chest infection such like they suggest and recommend either going to the local walk in centre or a&e. 'not good when you require antibiotics' . As for the the reception staff they are extremely Rude and Derogative towards many of the patients, they also been overheard discussing and ridiculing patients issues behind their backs, which is totally unprofessional. It Really needs to change drastically and urgently or be closed down

  8. Review titled Meh practice

When calling they always greet you with their name and what are your concerns when booking an appointment is very difficult as you have to call at 8 30am and if you call a minute late you don't get an appointment as their all gone they give great advice and if you have an appointment they treat you with care and respect overall its a basic gp surgery but if I could move to a different one I would it's not the nhs staffs fault that there go surgery has so many patients wanting an appointment the day you call #savethenhs
