Experienced disorganisation every time I’ve had to deal with this drs surgery. No response to ordering prescriptions, constantly chasing for results when been told I will receive a call, told to come in to pick up a bloods form which hasn’t been left. Really poor at the simple things. Will be leaving and searching for another doctor.

  3. Review titled Excellent Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been a patient at this practice for almost 18 years. It is absolutely excellent. I have never struggled to get an appropriate appointment when needed, evening during and post "pandemic". The doctors are all great and do not, in my view, prescribe medication willy nilly (eg anti-biotics). I recently called for an appointment to review some medication and was called back by the nurse just a few hours later. She is very knowledgeable about the subject matter, very supportive, helpful, friendly and i finished the call feeling very understood and very satisfied. There is a lot of bad press about the NHS at the moment and difficulty getting GP appointments, which i am well aware is happening to a lot of people. It's a shame that all surgeries aren't as good as this one. It is outstanding in my view.

Each time I have called, for any reason, I have been treated with care and courtesy. The Doctors s, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and support staff are excellent( even very occasionally when things didn't go to plan the matter was resolved promptly) . Well done Haden Vale surgery.

  6. Review titled Poor patient treatment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I was telephoned today by a receptionist who seemed to be in training as they kept having to refer to someone in the background. She launched into my needing to have a telephone appointment with a doctor because of my blood test results. I was alarmed as I hadn't had the results and asked what they were. After a faff, she said it was raised haemoglobin. There was an appointment on 19th August. I said that ok if it's afternoon and checked it was with my usual doctor, who I have been dealing with in connection with my ongoing fertility treatment. She said it wasn't. It was with another doctor who's a diabetic specialist. I have had dealings with this doctor and wouldn't never see them again, but just reiterated that I wanted to see my regular doctor. I had to then point out why I really didn't want to see that doctor. I'd made a complaint about them a couple of years ago. Looks like no one took any notice. The receptionist then said an appointment with my regular doctor at the end of August, which I said was fine, but she then lectured me on speaking to a doctor sooner rather than later. I'm heartily sick of receptionists trying to play doctor without knowing facts and background. It would save a lot of time and effort and in some instances I know of, missed appointments, if receptionists actually listened to the patient. Perhaps the practice should look at the wider picture as to why a particular doctor has more availability and look into their practices.
