This is the first time I ever leave a negative review. My 5 year old daughter was struggling with UTI symptoms so was seen by a doctor who took her urine sample which was negative on the spot but said to do further tests she needs to send it off. She told me to call back tomorrow to see the results so she can start taking antibiotics. I called every day for 10 days and every single time the receptionist said the samples sometimes take longer to come back. On the 10th day after being told the same I shouted saying can you investigate. Then she tells me there was no record of a sample and that I had to send it off myself?! Why couldn't all these receptionists who answered the calls every day check that? She still has all the symptoms I wish I just went to a&e.

I am really sorry that this happened to your daughter. I must say I am very surprised by what went on. It should take no longer that 3 days for a urine sample to come back, but it seem to me that your sample was unfortunately not sent. I apologise for this and hope that your daughter has fully recovered. I hope that this will never happen again, but if you have any problem like this again, please contact either me( practice manager ) or my assistant .

I have used this practice twice in the last few months, once for myself and once for my daughter. Both times I called at 8am and was called back by a doctor before 8.30, what excellent service! Most recently I was offered a face to face appointment but I felt happy with the plan and prescription, but it’s great to have both options of telephone and face to face. I really appreciate the hard work of everyone at this practice, thank you!

i have been trying to get an appointment for my 15 years daughter for the blood test. 15-20 min calls been disconnected as all operators were busy. Later been trying option 5 (general enquires), when listening the music to another 20 min. And every day they are fully booked. The members of GP just say to try again next day. I don't understand - Is it a lottery to get an appointment? Very disappointed for the services.

I am sorry that you have had such a problem getting through to the surgery. This is quite unusual. We do not do take bloods at the surgery generally., so what you actually needed was a blood test form. If this is a routine blood test you do not need to see or speak to a doctor ( the receptionists will print out the form for you). However if it is a new problem you do need to speak to either a doctor, physician assistant or our practice nurse. Again I an very sorry that yu felt we let you down

I called at 7.45 to get a telephone appt with GP for advice. Phone service said all operators busy and call back, then disconnected me. I called 10 times in a row. At 8 am I went to surgery in person. I could see staff inside. At 8.15 the door was not unlocked yet, with a queue of people outside. I rang the reception bell and asked if GP opened at 8 - receptionist said yes and I said, it's 8.15. She then asked what I wanted ignoring my comment. She told me they don't take in person appointments and I would have to call. I then kept trying appt line and still getting disconnected. I then called back and tried option '5' for general enquiries. I was on hold for one hour. Was I got through, I was told all appts were gone and that I had to call back next day. I replied that I specifically stayed late this morning from work to make this appt. The receptionist just kept repeating to call back next day. There was no care or understanding. I'm extremely frustrated and will be looking to change practices. Do not register here if you are thinking about it!

I am very sorry that you have had a problem getting an appointment. Firstly the surgery does not start until 8.00am. So if you call before that you will be put throught to our emergency service. We do not actually open the front door until 9.00am ,but you can speak via an intercom to reception.We do not book appointment via this system. There are many options that should have been given to you when our appointments are full. 1. nhs111 2. fednet number would be given, or staff would book you an appointment if you wish. 3. They can ( if appropriate) book you with an alternative medical professional i.e pharmacist, physicians asistant ect. I hope you find this helpful and once again I am sorry that ou had this difficulty

My brother is registered at this his local surgery . He has communicative problems so i always have to make appointments & enquiries on his behalf . Whenever i contact them they are so incredibly prompt helpful & understanding . In these challenging times for the NHS & GP surgeries i think they do a very good & efficient service .
