    E consulting issued prescription for pain killers to chemist miles away, struggled in agony to get it, only to be told they don't except emailed prescriptions. Phone burstead wood and told, they would send prescription to local chemist. Struggled to chemist, no prescription. Phoned again next day. told doctor would do it .,Doctor texted saying they had done it. Dragged to chemist again, no prescription. Phoned up again and told doctor has not signed it and it takes them 3days to send it!!! Beyond a joke!!!

I will endeavor to look into the issues you have raised, I will also raise the issue with your original prescription request with the out of hours hub team as to what chemist it was sent to and why it was not accepted by email.

    I have never had any problems with this surgery and in fact listening to my friends and family when they are 78th in the queue at 8 am I'm usually 4/5. The receptionists are very helpful and have gone out of their way to help me get a repeat prescription when I have forgot to order, even when I was away on holiday! Today I did and e-consult and was called in 3 hours, great service! Can not fault, not sure what the other reviews are about to be honest......

    I find the quality of admin service at Bursted Wood surgery very poor at the moment and I believe that the standard of care and attention to patients has declined considerably in the last 2 or 3 years. In my view, the doctors are not the problem but rather the quality and lack of professionalism of the reception staff and practice manager. One simple example of this is that phone appointments are not always respected. Recently a doctor failed to phone me at the designated time/date. I had to wait approx 2 weeks for this call and despite the fact that I received two reminders of the date and time by text, nobody phoned. When I rang later in the day, I was informed that there had been an error on the part of the admin staff but regrettably no attempt was made to apologise nor communicate with me. Another phone appointment was made for me without my knowledge but with no indication of when/who or the reason why! Moreover, there is far too much emphasis on technology and the belief that the technology is infallible. An example of this is that test results which are entered on the system for one month often overwrite the results from the previous time and therefore it is impossible for the patient to compare results. The receptionists are invariably on the phone or at their computer and make patients (the very few that are in the surgery) wait far too long. At this surgery, there are several staff in the back office – sometimes adjusting make-up and chatting. Indeed, there seems to be a grudging acknowledgement of patients. I tried to contact the Practice Manager last year because of similar difficulties but she was on holiday for 3 weeks and had not designated a replacement. I believe that these difficulties stem from a lack of oversight, a somewhat cavalier approach and scant attention to the needs of the patients. It was an excellent surgery for many years but, in recent times, it has really gone downhill.

    I have recently visited this surgery several times in the past few months. The waiting room has always been full and the receptionists are very helpful and polite, considering the amount of pressure they are under they are doing a great job. I found in the last year that the service has improved drastically post covid and feel that the reviews I have read on google are not a true reflection on the surgery. I have had 5 face to face appointments and all GP's I have seen have been professional and have met my requirements. After a recent coffee morning which I attended, in which the practice manger was present, I can honestly say everybody I spoke to that was present feels that she is a good asset to the surgery. Keep up the good work!!

    Sadly I have been with this surgery for over 30 years and was excellent and has gone downhill over the last couple of years. Reception staff need to learn how to have eye contact and just say a polite - "wont keep you a moment" and that would be fine for me to continue waiting but to not be acknowledged encourages irritability. That aside i would like to mention a lovely lady that helped me and was incredibly polite and efficient but i am not allowed to use names....she works Wednesdays and is in the back office mainly I believe. If all the staff could take a leaf out of her book the practice may run more efficiently.

    Daughter had appointment with Dr receptionist made us wait 10 minutes before she slide the screen, told us to take a seat, then I needed to ask for an appointment with nurse phone was ringing and ringing the other receptionist answered and chatted about holiday, the other receptionist spoke to me. Bad service
