  1. Review titled Excellent Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by G K - Posted on 08 March 2024

We have been with this practice since 1969 and they have always given us very good patient care. Over the years the practise has expanded but never lost the personal touch. My latest experience was using the eConsult Service to ask for advice. The response to my question was very quick under a day by text which said I need to book a blood test. Contacted the surgery and had a call back service which again was very efficient. The receptionist, as usual , was professional, friendly and efficient.

  2. Review titled Sick note

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have had ankle surgery, I am unable to get to the doctor, I rang and asked for a sicknote, as mine was due to run out. I was told to send an Email, and was given the address, I sent the Email, but never got the sicknote. I lost a weeks wages, I have got one from the hospital now. I am not happy, I tried phoning the practice but they don't seem to answer the phone.

How lucky am I to be attached to Bower Mount surgery. I moved to Maidstone 3years ago from Medway. The staff here are outstanding. All staff are caring. Show concern and support every call and visit. Maybe you don't know what that effect that has on patients. Thank goodness I moved to this area ... You should all be proud of yourselves..

  4. Review titled Lovely nurse

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Shannon - Posted on 08 November 2023

I have always had positive experiences with this practice but want to specifically praise the nurse who recently gave my young son his nasal flu vaccination. As soon as we walked through the door she was friendly and engaging, making him feel very comfortable. When administering the vaccine, she asked if he could smell vanilla or chocolate which made the experience fun and removed all fear. Great staff and a great practice.

  5. Review titled Sneaky missed calls or not at all

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 October 2023

Over the years this surgery has gone down the tubes ever since they combined both London Road & King street into one! Try ringing up for appointment, will you actually get through or not maybe better off trying the Euro Lotto! As for phone calls to you they are quite sneaky, pretend to have rung you or you've missed the call but they just ring long enough for it to register as a missed phone call as they are too lazy & incompetent to actually do it properly, this hasn't happened just once it has happened several times! I've been at this surgery for a very long time & I think it's time people voted with their feet!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I phoned this morning to make an appointment, only to be told my doctor has left the practice, I am not registered with a doctor, but I'm still with the practice, they should have let me know, and put me with another doctor. I have been with this practice since I was a child

  8. Review titled Great practice so helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dave Clements - Posted on 04 July 2023

After my farther was discharged from Hospital I can not praise the staff and doctors at this surgery enough. They will always call when they said they would. They have so much compassion and empathy to me and the family I truly wish I lived in the area and they where my doctors. The team are worth their weight in gold and always go that extra mile to help. Thank you so much

Thank you for your message on NHS services. We are sorry that you had to suffer from pain for 4 days. As it is an anonymous review, we are unable to reply specific answer. However, we are reassured that a correct diagnosis has been made over the telephone. Treatment of suspected gout/acute gout/flare up of gout is predominantly analgesics/anti-inflammatory medication which I presume has already been given. If pain is not controlled, extra pain killers could have been given if contacted the surgery. Blood test report can only confirm the diagnosis. Prophylactic long-term treatment can be started based on the blood test report, only when the immediate gout problem with pain has subsided. Therefore, there is nothing more we could have done based on the report early. Still if you want to discuss the matter, you are most welcome to book an appointment with a doctor at the practice.

  10. Review titled Fantastic service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2023

I just wanted to say that in my recent dealings with this practice I have experienced fantastic service. At a time when the NHS is experiencing huge difficulties, I have received nothing but prompt, polite and professional care from every member of staff that I have dealt with. Reception staff, nurses and doctors. Thank you all and keep up the good work.
