    Rang on a Monday in January to obtain a referral letter to arrange for private carpal tunnel syndrome surgery. The doctor I spoke to, asked me to visit Binfield Surgery, on Wednesday to discuss the request. At the consultation he recommended I had injections first before surgery, which I agreed to. He gave me the injections there and then. As a result I have not had to have surgery. The condition has improved progressively, as he said would be the case.

    Firstly I have been a patient in this surgery since I was in infancy school. So for almost 35 years. During that time the surgery has always provided me with amazing care and have always offered me the support I need no matter what the issue or problem. I have recorded a chain of events which extend over a 36 hour window. 8am / 19th December - I Called at 8am to book an appointment. I was unable to get through but accept they are busy so decided to wait and try once the lines are less congested. 10:30am / 19th December - I called again and managed to speak to a receptionist who said to go online and use clinic services to get an appointment for the following day. I did this and received a notification via text message to confirm this had been received. 8am / 20th December - I managed to get through and spoke to one of the reception team again. I confirmed my details and said I had registered via the clinic services as advised. I was confirmed to be in Doctors call list for the day. 1:30pm / 20th - I had not received a call by this time and understandably was very concerned so called and spoke to another receptionist yet again. My appointment was found but confirmed for Friday. I questioned this as that was not what was agreed on my earlier call. It was then advised an error had occurred as someone else with the same name as me was on the system. I was then assured I would be getting a call. 5pm / 20th - Still no call and I am now growing increasingly concerned. I picked up the phone once more and spoke to someone else. Once again my appointment was not found and the receptionist who I spoke too earlier needed to be spoken too to confirm whilst I was on hold. I questioned whether the appointment was actually arranged as by now I was sceptical and nervous. I was assured that I was on Doctors list once again and that he does call after 6:30pm so had nothing to worry about. So it’s now 8:30pm on the 20th Dec and I have not been called despite all the assurances from the team and all the phone calls above. I have been very let down by the surgery and the staff. I appreciate how busy everyone is but if someone calls 3 times you can see they are need of some support / advice.

    Dear Mr Taylor Your complaint was received via the practice and this has been replied to by the Practice Manager. Your Klinik online consultation was put on the Doctors list for actioning, but we do advise patients that this isn't normally actioned the same day.

    I am newly registered with this practice. I phoned this morning as have a problem all over Christmas about which I am concerned. I was told the phone call could not be completed. What does this mean?? I am beginning to wonder if I have made the right move. I only changed because I am 90 yrs old and could walk to the surgery rather than having to drive.

    I waited 45 minutes on the phone to try and secure an appointment only to be told there were none. Why waste people’s time - surely there must be a way of informing people waiting that there are no appointments. The person who answered the call was very polite, but it’s still a terrible system. I’ve had numerous bad experiences over many years with poor or non diagnoses from GPs. There have been good locums on occasion but by and large I try to avoid contact as much as possible.

    Failing to get an appointment by phone - long wait in the queue and no appointments left - I read the online instructions and tried to do it through the NHS app which involved resetting my password. No appointments through the app. Can I email you? Phoning is a lottery at the best of times. I don't need an appointment the same day but I do need an appointment!

    Dear Mrs Worsnop Thank you for your review. Binfield Surgery, like other practices are dealing with a high demand of patient calls at the present moment in time. We advise patients to call the surgery at 8am for a consultation with a clinician that same day. Once all appointments for the day have been allocated, we advise patients to complete an online consultation via our website through Klinik, call 111 if they require a medically urgent appointment or call back the next working day at 8am.     Hi, Have phoned several times today from 8am to book an appointment but always told "Your call cannot be completed, call back later". Then cut-off. Must be a better way!

    Some really disappointing experiences on a number of occasions recently. After eventually getting a telephone appointment with a nurse, who called 2 hours late, I was then told by the nurse I needed to speak to someone else despite being transparent in my needs when requesting the appointment. The problem was not trivial and something I imagine nurses discuss with young women on a daily basis. I then asked to rearrange and was told that the next appointment was in 2 weeks, as I apparently needed to speak to a specific nurse - surely they are all capable of advising on the same issues? This was just one issue. I was asked to obtain a blood pressure reading in recent weeks which I did by going into the surgery, only for the practice to subsequently lose the reading despite me following all instructions. This reading was needed for medication so you can imagine my frustration. I planned to return to the surgery today to get another blood pressure reading, only to find out on my arrival that the surgery was closed until tomorrow morning which had not been communicated to patients (clearly as there were other frustrated patients outside too). I am not one to usually moan and I fully appreciate the health care crisis we are facing but I am extremely disappointed in my experience with this surgery recently.

    Recently requested to change to a different surgery after continued poor experiences here. Reception staff and immunisation nurses are really lovely but very poor experience with a number of the doctors. Rude, patronising and often fail to ask basic questions and undertake basic observations if they do actually see you. Ended up taking my children elsewhere on a number of occasions as I wasn’t happy or reassured with the care we received. Often to be told they actually did actually need antibiotics or treatment after all.
