  1. Review titled Very sad

I have felt fragile in terms of being uncared for and sad being a member of this surgery for a number of reasons. One of the receptionists can be unnecessarily rude and in unspoken ways makes you feel like a time waster. You are made to phone at set times and stay in mad queues only to be told after 20-30 mins hanging on that 'all the appointments have gone' and to try again tomorrow. It's a robotic response which assumes that you haven't got a job and you can put yourself through this madness daily because somebody somewhere thought it was a rational system. I have had to make the choice between being late for work or having my children listen to what's wrong with me on speaker phone on the way to school. I have stood at reception a few times listening to desperate people at the counter trying to be heard and I have been saddened by their poor treatment. If the service is on its knees and under-funded that's sad, and I'm sorry; but, empathy and kindness in tone and body language is free, and the one thing most people have in common when interacting with this practice is a need to be cared for. There is room for improvement here.
