  1. Review titled Ordering repeat prescriptions for an elderly parent

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2024

I am responsible for ordering and administering my elderly mum's medication. I have come to dread ordering her repeat prescription each month via the surgery. Reception staff, with some exceptions, are obstructive and unhelpful and make me feel that I am a nuisance. I would prefer to use Mum's Patient Access account, which I set up after being told I could no longer order prescriptions on the phone, but the repeat medication service rarely works, so I am forced to resort to the surgery. It is a time-consuming, unpleasant experience generally, with most receptionists showing little understanding or sympathy.

  2. Review titled Online appoint booking need

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymus - Posted on 28 March 2024

In continue with previous feedback though GP is very nice but its reception and about service. Its (previous one) pasted below; Its hard for working professionals to book GP appointment. On call long waiting time then disappointment of not getting the GP appointment. Finally last week then got online GP appointment booking as Apsley practice not gave advance GP physical appointment, but still not received call from GP. Its better to suffer rather this hectic tracing and appointments. Please consider the struggle for those who are working in remote areas from their home. Its hard for us to get appointments as have to take off from work then have to go to GP surgery. After getting off from my work I reach home at 20:00 so how can I easily get my appointments. If I call in the morning its my luck weather I got appointment or not, or delaying phone appointments etc. Then struggle to get permission from work from sudden holiday that is not allowed in the job. They ask to apply for leave 10 days before or 2 hours relieve for going to appointment that does not work in my case. Its really disappointing. Please provide online appointment booking access so that patients like me to not suffer.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you have had a bad experience trying to book an appointment. I hope that following my telephone call with you today you are now more aware of the alternative ways to contact the surgery and that you have received the link to send in online consultations. I hope you do not have any further issues but I would be happy to discuss them if this should happen. Thank you Jane Millward Primary Care Operations Maanger

I am sorry you have not had a good experience at the practice on this occasion. I would be more than happy to speak to you in person to discuss this further. You can do this by calling the surgery and ask for myself. Kind regards Jane Millward Primary Care Operations Manager

  5. Review titled Waiting times are ridiculous

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 March 2023

Spent 45 mins on the phone waiting to be booked in only to be told they haven't got any appointments left! Been told to go Haywood to wait god knows how long. Disgusting. Needs shutting down.

  6. Review titled Useless

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Rang this morning and was told my problem with medication couldn't be sorted so the GP would call back between a certain time. Nobody called me. Rang them back later on and they said I was still on the list. It's now 10pm and still absolutely nothing! Ridiculous.

  7. Review titled Amazing nurses

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Sam D - Posted on 27 April 2022

I just wanted to thank the nurses for the amazing care I’ve received since joining the practice 3 years ago. I’ve had several health conditions consistently dismissed over the last 20 years. In one session with the nurse I was validated, reassured, and signposted to relevant services and am undergoing way overdue treatment that I desperately need. This has had a hugely positive impact on my mental health to the point where I feel reassured and ready to undergo the relevant therapy needed for complex PTSD related to previous medical care and other factors. I honestly feel like the nurses saved my life, no hyperbole. Thank you, I can’t name you here but your manager was with you when I told you! Credit where credit is due!
