  1. Review titled Apalling practice

The standard of service from this practice is appalling. Long waits on the phone, often rude response from receptionists and last time was told to phone back. Long wait to get doctors appointment, often not able to speak to a doctor who has any knowledge of my medical history and appointment seems rushed and I was not being listened to. So sad as this used to be an excellent practice.

I am sorry to hear of your experience of our practice. We recognise that we are short of staff, due to relocation and COVID isolation/sickness. We have had to use some locums (who have worked in the practice before) to help fill some of our rota gaps but there are days when they are not available. We have though successfully recruited new GPs and administrative staff from August, so would hope things improve soon. There are long waits to speak to our duty doctor, and we ask patients who do not have urgent problems, to call back outside this triage times (8:30-10 and 15:00-16:00). We have installed a new phone system that allows a "queue buster" call back system once you reach 10th in the queue. I am sorry your interaction with our reception team was poor, if you can recall the time and date and inform us, then we can listen back for training purposes. The GPs have moved to 15-minute face to face appointments, so it is disappointing to hear that you were rushed and not listened to. We shall feed this back at our next team meeting. It would be helpful to get more identifiable details from you, so we can feed it back to the individual clinician. The GPs have annual external appraisals so your concerns would be followed up there. 2. Review titled Excellent nursing staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

The nurse who did my smear test was excellent. She was kind and professional, mindful of my underlying health problems/ discomfort, skillful and swift. I also thought the nurse who did my son's immunisations was very good too, she was thorough, explained everything well and answered my questions professionally. My son's 6 week check and my postnatal check with the GP were a bit disappointing. We had half an hour but needed longer, there were lots of aspects of the checks that were omitted. The GP also wrote the wrong number for head circumference in the red book (she wrote an abnormally small number), and did not plot it on the centile chart nor discuss it with me.

Thank you very much for the kind and positive comments regarding our nursing team. I wonder if you could call and let me have further information regarding your baby's 6/52 check and I will look into this and respond accordingly. Once again thank you. Denise Griffin

  3. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Simona - Posted on 16 August 2022

In times when one can read and hear so many complaints about GPs and NHS in general, my personal experience is totally opposite - in fact, I am very content with their response time, service and care provided by my GP and the hospitals I was involved with. In the past, whenever urgent appointments were needed, the appointment was arranged for me either the same day or the next day. On the last occasion, and in cooperation with several hospitals, my case was fast tracked and things moved extremely quickly from then onwards for which I am thankful. Overall a great practice and I do recommend it unreservedly.

  4. Review titled Doctors great, secretaries not helpful

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Unpleasant secretary when trying to book appointment. After trying for 3 weeks (at least once a week) to book a future appointment with a particular doctor for chronic illness, told to call every Monday at 0800. Unable to get through and when you do you are in long cue. When answered told that I have called at busy time and told to call next day at 8am.(was happy to call whenever they suggested) They won’t book an appointment in busy call times. Have now given up, despite econsults asking me to book follow up appointment. Will look at other GP clinics, as booking system not great and secretaries unhelpful. Online booking appointment never available with my doctor. I have cried all morning after trying for weeks to get appointment and to be told to call back, as Iam basically an inconvenience.

Hi Thank you for taking the time to post this comment. As we do not respond to anonymous feedback I wonder if you would call me so that I can get more information from you. The best time is after 10am when our lines may be slightly less busy. Kind regards Denise Griffin Practice Manager 020 3474 6200
