    The worst dentist ever. I was with Rose Cottage for 15 years but since Lockdown I have had 5 appointments cancelled last minute due to the dentist going private. My husband & I had appointments this afternoon which I thought were going ahead due to no cancellation text like the other 5 appointments. We finished work early and headed over there only to be told on arrival both appointments had been cancelled this time without any notification. Apparently just another dentist who decided to go private a few weeks ago. I was informed there is just 1 NHS dentist left on the premises who has no appointments until July 2024 and also no guarantees he won't go private before then. Just to pint out there was not a soul in the practice, so God knows where all the private patients are? It's inevitable that with no patients they will go back to taking on NHS patients just to stay afloat. No chance of us going back. The way they have treated their patients since lockdown is nothing short of disgraceful. I hope they enjoy the peace & quiet because soon they will have no one to treat. I would never recommend this surgery to anyone.

    Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry for any inconvenience caused in relation to your treating dentist no longer providing NHS treatment. Your dentist has taken the decision to no longer offer dental services on the NHS. Where routine NHS provision is not currently available, your practice will be able to offer alternative private options.     Basically impossible to get an appointment and they cancel them last minute. I haven’t been able to get a checkup for my son. Told all the dentists have gone private apart from one, but had no prior communication of this and my sons appointment that was booked months ago has now been canceled a week before it was due, next available one now is another 2 months away.

    I've had my kids and wife booked in to see a dentist since October last year. My wife hadnt been seen since 2018, but due to pregnancy (couldnt lie on her back) she couldnt go until after my son was born so we had an appointment booked in April 2020, which was then cancelled due to covid lockdown. They started seeing patients again in 2021 on a need/priority basis. Our first reappointment was in December 2022 but the appointment was cancelled with no explanation. I had to rebook them all for February 2023, again this was cancelled a few days before with no explanation. So I've just been on the phone again to book, now the earliest is June! Thats nearly a 9 month wait to get my kids seen, when I had concerns about my 5 year old grinding his teeth, but its not classed as a dental emergency. My wife has also been struck off due to the time of her last appointment, when its no fault of her own that every appointment in the last 3 years has been cancelled on her. It looks like a recurring theme what the community facebook groups say too. The whole dental industry is a complete mess due to the privatisation and a covid backlog.

    I called to cancel appointment as I have come down with Covid told I needed to give 24 hrs notice. That’s not easy with Covid told everyone uses that excuse and I would have to pay another consult fee no Thankyou

    I had to cancel my appointment due to Covid but will be recharged as I didn’t give 24 hrs notice which is very hard to do when it strikes overnight.

    My teeth were not great for many reasons but mostly dentist fear. Everyone lovely at this Dentist and the Dentist that sorted my issues out was such an excellent dentist. Also it's embarrassing when teeth need to come out and partials put in, but they were not judgemental. Actually that is my main point, judgment from past dentists has been the main reason I never returned to keep up treatment.
