  2. Review titled Faulty equipment and disabled-non friendly

    I had my oral hygiene treatment twice and during both treatments, their suction machine did not work in almost half of both sessions. This can be risky of aspiration especially those patients who have problems keeping their secretions in their buccal cavity for longer time. The clinic is not even ideal for wheelchair users or people with problems in mobility - they do not have lift and you have to use the long stair to ggo up. Their receptionists do not have good customer skills as they look too serious and they do not smile at all.

    My family have been using this practice for over 30 years through various ownerships. This current Practice team seem fine. Staff are friendly, hygiene practices are good, area is clean. During Covid extra measures were employed safely. It’s well serviced with local bus routes & parking. So far I have had no problems & will continue to use them. I take the point about the steep stairs by a previous review. I just hope I’ll be physically able to continue getting up them. The practice is at a disadvantage being on the first floor.

    This morning , I had an appointment that was brought forward from the 8th of June 2022 to check out a filling that had deteriorated since my first visit to the surgery. I had explained to the Dental Doctor at the time that they might be a problem with upper tooth with the fillings. She took various X-rays and said that she could not find any issues. She explained that I would require to make an appointment for an hygiene clean of my teeth, as I had some gum infections. I agreed to this on the 2nd appointment , however over last few months the filling on the upper tooth was beginning to become uncomfortable. So this morning as per my appointment , I visited the Dental surgery and explained to the Dental Doctor of the problem, which I had reported on my first visit. She told me that she would have to take another X-ray as the last one taken about 3 months ago was not good. I find it difficult to understand if she knew of the first x-ray taken on that day was not good, as to why she did not take it again. However this morning She proceeded to take another X-ray. She than said she was unable to carry out with the treatment today, as I would need to make another appointment and she would need time to work the treatment I would require. I explained to her that I was going away next week. It is totally unacceptable and find it very difficult to understand her judgement for caring for the patients.
