  1. Review titled The most dangerous level of support. Don’t trust!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Not only did I bare my soul. Told the details, for them to forget to save. Weeks later. Bloke no 2 is assigned. Not much better. They seem to take details, then refer to a supervisor before telling you that you don’t meet the criteria. From Reading the other reviews this habit is scary. Not only are they are toying with oriole’s emotions but then trying to pedal cbt which doesn’t address past trauma and then prescribe antidepressants which I never got to that stage but I can tell you that I would never take drugs. When I pushed and pushed for a normal counselling service, I was told that I wasn’t bad enough. In fact didn’t merit a further conversation. I give up with the NHS after this. If you’re not bleeding or dying, they don’t care

  2. Review titled Disappointing

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Felt disappointed after being optimistic about the support offered. Very difficult to contact the named person due to various absences, illness and just not available for taking calls. Working full time myself this meant a table tennis back and forth and then for my meeting to be cancelled after filling in all the questionnaires and information twice. Then discharged even though I got in contact on the day to stay within time limits. I will now contact my GP directly to look for help or go private.

  3. Review titled Not for everyone, I was given false hope

Rated 1 star out of 5

I do appreciate the NHS and that talking space is a free service but I have used them three times and I don’t feel like I have benefited from the service. A few weeks ago I was discharged because they don’t have the facilities to meet my needs which is fine. But what is frustrating is for years I have wanted to join a peer support group for mental health, when they discharged me they promised me they would send me a list of peer support groups for people who have been bullied I felt a sense of hope. Unfortunately, when I read the discharge letter the groups they included were for sexual health which was not relevant to me. I would have preferred them to be honest with me and tell me that they don't know any support groups for my needs because making that false promise made me think I was finally going to get the right help. Now I am worse off than when I was referred to the service.

  4. Review titled If you are a risk to yourself, then try it

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have problematic thinking styles and suffer with insomnia, social anxiety and I am lonely. Despite all of that which causes me daily struggles the counselor was only interested if I was a risk to myself or others. When it was established that I wasn't a risk, then offered to focus on one of my problems with cbt approach. This service exists primarily to prevent physical harm to people. It is not a serious therapy centre. If you want therapy then you will have to pay for it, I'm afraid.
