My whole patient journey was great. From receptionist conversation and booking appointment to my surgery experience with dentist and dental nurse all carried out on the same day as my initial phone call.

I contacted this service today as I was in excruciating pain from an infected tooth. I had previously seen a dentist several days before, who had fixed a broken filling and prescribed antibiotics. I have been taking the antibiotics for several days but the pain was getting worse and had spread into my face and down my neck. I had been taking co-codamol and ibuprofen for the pain but this was no longer providing any relief.I was not offered an emergency appointment as my face was not “extremely swollen”, nor was there profuse bleeding, and was told I could not have an appointment just for “toothache”. I am now having to manage the pain over the weekend and will have to wait to contact my dentist on Monday. This is really not acceptable. I would not have contacted the service unless it was an emergency. I am now left contemplating whether I remove the tooth myself in order to try and get some relief from the pain.
