I have Suffered with health and social anxiety for a long time now on and off for years… However since having talking therapy with an amazing therapist it has changed my perception on how Iam has a person, she has given me confidence to do more things, say no to things I don’t want to. Just listened to me talk, given me strategies to deal with certain situations in life yes we will have to deal with some alfwul situations in like , but she as made me realise Iam strong! I can do it! I will really miss our weekly online meetings- I won’t have someone to off load too!! I can not rate this service enough thank you so much I will be forever greatful for helping me to learn that anxiety is just a feeling a normal one at that…

  2. Review titled Wonderful Support Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Angela Morris - Posted on 15 March 2023

Whilst waiting for my pending doctors appointment, I needed help. My experience was excellent, I got a call from a lovely lady my symptoms were monitored by timely questionnaires to determine what support I required. When I got my call the support worker, listened and was able to agree with myself my outcome and further help if needed. It was brilliant to have that go to as I had to wait 4 weeks to see my g.p . The support workers are very experienced staff , great listening skills and really work hard to get you what you need and quicker if you need it . 5*

  3. Review titled Dear God….

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 December 2022

In October i participated in a very upsetting assessment and then told I was on a waiting list and please just wait. So I did. In early December I received an email advising me that if I failed to complete the accompanying questionnaire I would be removed from the waiting list. I completed the form and returned it the same day. And today 30th December I have received another email informing me I didn’t complete and return their form and so I am now removed from their waiting list. It would be easy to accuse them of incompetence but I don’t believe its that simple. I think they are using the forms as a means of reducing their waiting list. It’s a quick and easy outcome ie ‘ non compliance’ and allows people like me to be discarded and returned to my GP. I would not advise anyone to go through the trauma of the telephone assessment interview whilst the service is managed in this manner.

  4. Review titled Life saving help - Brilliant

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chris - Posted on 17 October 2022

My practitioner carried out a number of on-line sessions with me and although I was a little skeptical at first, she soon put me at ease and clearly understood my issues around my long standing phobia. She went out of her way to assist however she could including contacting my GP to arrange sessions for me to go and discuss my phobia with a view to resolving my problem. My phobia was potentially life threatening and caused my family and me many years of stress and distress. My councilor worked with me, supported me and encouraged me all at a pace that was comfortable for me, no pushing or time constraints. In fact, she even went beyond my allotted sessions to ensure all was well with me and I was able to manage my phobia from there on in. I really cannot praise this service highly enough, it has changed my life and that of my family, as my phobia was impacting on them too. The outcome has allowed me to be prescribed the correct medication to deal with my health issues and it is not overstating things when I say she has probably saved my life. I know I'm not allowed to put names in my review, I so wish I could as this lady deserves every recognition for her wonderful work and support in helping me to deal with a life long issue. However, this practitioner 'F' deserves every praise not to mention a pay increase for her incredible work. Thank you 'F' my family and I will forever be indebted to you.

  5. Review titled Confused and even more depressed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 June 2022

After waiting 4 months finally got appointment. Practitioner didn't know why I had been referred or who had made the referral inspite of all the questionnaires I had filled in previously and which had obviously not been read. From the outset this didn't exactly make for a warm welcome. I was also asked what I wanted to do in the session which left me absolutely astonished because I thought that direction would come from the trained health professional. Bit like the doctor asking a patient what they d like to have a go at when they walk into the surgery !! I m afraid I m not an expert in mental health and don't know how to fix myself which is why I signed up for therapy in the first place. If I knew how to fix myself I wouldn't be here. Practitioner said couldn't help even though I was obviously distressed and said would refer me to another department. Got back to me later and said I didn't fit the criteria so would refer me for screening and if the counselling department couldn't help I would be sent back to the original practitioner and they would then help me. Just another time and money wasting NHS shambles. I absolutely fail to understand (and it was not explained to me) why this first Practitioner couldn't help me first time round but would suddenly miraculously be able to help me if I went round the departmental loop first and was rejected. It's a shambles and I am even more depressed now than before the appointment which has left me high and dry. Meanwhile I continue to get no support for a long term health condition that affects my mental health and vastly reduces my ability to work. Cheers Dudley Talking Therapies - I had heard you were bad but this is a joke. P.S I would like to remain anonymous but notice I have to fill in my email - another joke cos now you know who I am and therefore my confidentiality has been compromised. Cheers again.
