I went in as we were very worried about a 17yr old who had slept solidly for 2days had a temperature of 39degrees and not not even swallow water.I stood for quite a while at the reception ,there was no receptionist, eventually a person who I was told was part of the prescription team and quite obviously did not want to help on reception. The receptionist was in a meeting and they had not arranged a replacement. The woman who eventually came to speak to me came across as very uncaring and simply said you have to get a telephone appointment which we had tried to do. The young man was so Ill he ended up at qa hospital 5 days later very I’ll still. Had he been able to see a dr or even speak to one, and have been able to get the 2 lots of liquid antibiotics that he needed in the beginning he would not have ended up at qa. Appalling uncaring and inefficient service at Devonshire ave surgery. Whether the drs are good or not, who knows you cannot get past reception ,no matter how I’ll you are
