I am sorry to hear you have experienced issues with contacting the specialist nurses. Please contact PALS on 0161 446 8217 (Monday-Thursday 10-4, Friday 10-3) or via email at the-christie.pals@nhs.net to allow us investigate and respond fully to the concerns you have raised.

  2. Review titled Telephone appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was told that due to coronavirus all follow ups would be telephone appoints. I was told that this would continue as normal practice and that it was much better and that we are moving forward from the dark ages. Patients will not have the problem of parking. This is now the normal practise and is quite scary for Cancer patients. The Christies is proud to keep Covid out but are keeping cancer patients out as well. The advice is to contact PALs who never return phone calls. It is impossible to speak to anyone on the phone at The Christies and I feel abandoned and alone without follow up appointments

I'm very sorry to hear you have had difficulty reaching PALS over the phone, as all missed phone calls should be returned as long as a voice message is left with your contact details. Alternatively, could you please send us an email to pals@christie.nhs.uk to see how we support you with these concerns.
